Is there any use for planetary commendations for use in the end game?

Because I can think of some, if you can make them transferable, or make other boxes from comm vendors.

 

1) Make rare materials/schematics/missions bags that correspond to that planet's level.

 

or

 

2) Make end game player created content that essentially lets you convert planet commendations into daily commendations and/or exotic material.

 

I'm thinking it would be in the form of a sort of bidding auction. You could pick up only one PLANETARY POLITICS [WEEKLY] at a starport on planets or one for the fleet. But the key would be that you are competing for a single faction based 'political (or military)' position throughout the entire galaxy against everyone in your faction. On Taris for the republic it might be a seat on a 'Resettlement Council' on Drummond Kaas it might be Council Executor or something like that.

 

You would play the weekly by picking it up and then running heroics/farming for commendations on that appropriate planet. Then periodically you could drop the commendations you gain in the mission drop box as long as you have that planet's weekly mission. Every day you could get an update of the top 5 players running for a position on your planet. And then during the reset on Tuesday, everyone gets a mail that says who won for their planet. The winner then gets a title, a weeks worth of credits, dailies, materials, and other rare-ish/unique things (all in the mail).

the item modifications you get with commendations are BoE.. so you could either sell them or send them to alts.

This only only really be usable for corellia comms, but buy the Purple boxes. You will get either something that you can use or something you can send to an alt for when they first hit 50 or just sell them.

Sell the rakata implants, they go for around 700-800k on my server and it only takes 4 days to farm them.
