Anyone parsed over 1800?

Ok i just did another parse for Hybrid. My Gear isn't quite BiS for 1.4 as i am missing the earpiece, 7 of the (63) armorings and both of the new relics(which aren't in game yet so it doesn't matter).

http://www.torparse.com/a/37181/time/1351189459/1351189887

Here i parsed 1875dps over 7min.

This is on Ops dummy on a ship to avoid lag. I used 3 exotech adrenals and had an exotech stim on. I had a friend put up the armor debuff. No inspiration.

I made a few mistakes:

3 clipped Weaken Mind ticks

1 Failed force potency (used on 2 thelekinetic throws instead of FiB and TT)

I think with perfect rotation and the rest of the BiS gear, i'll hit 1900

Deprecated/useless, but leaving it here anyway.

First of this is balance spec:

1890 Only 3 minute log (also on the fleet dummy), i got bored doing my rotation on that. iirc, that is with the 'clipping' of my dots. I had all 4 class buffs, and an exotech resolve stim active at the time. The log after that i tried watching my rotation and ended up with a slightly lower dps more close to 1790.

With clipping: http://www.torparse.com/a/33226

Without clipping: http://www.torparse.com/a/33233 (for some reason it doesnt recognize it as a combat so you have to manually select begin & end times)

I might just be doing the 'non clipping' thing wrong though.

My gear (with the 3% crit bonus en the willpower bonus from skilltrees) puts me currently at 33-34% crit change, 78-79% surge, and somewhere along the lines of 1000-1100 bonus power (i'll check and update these numbers once i'm ingame).

Gear wise i use a warhero and a champion relic (i also have activated power campain & dot on damage campain, but i figured plain boost of power the whole time was just better).

I dont have any dreadguard gear yet, but i'm pretty much full on campain/black hole level gear in all slots, except for a rakatta armoring in my belt. I also use battlemaster gloves & boots for the set bonus (stripped the originals empty and slotted it with blackhole parts) giving me the 2 piece pve and 2 piece pvp set bonus. (reduced force cost on telekinetic throw and reduced cooldown for mind crush + self healing for every tick of mind crush).

k updated numbers:

Bonus Damage: 1027.7 (2155 will, 1084 power, 1298 force power, 48.9 from skills/buffs)

Crit Chance: 32.09 (2155 will, 116 crit, 9% from buffs/skills)

Crit Multi: 78.44 (399 surge)

Activation Speed: 5.70 (courtesy of the +power +alac implants)

Side note: by minmaxing to increase my power/willpower in exchange for less endurance i lost about 3k hp for maybe an extra 100-200dps on the dummy, which in actual combat results in a lesser visible increase but as long as bosses dont start one shotting yet i'm not overly worried.

No dps uses high end anything.

Come to that, tanks don't either, they only use end if none of the other options boost their defence stats e.g. crystal.

I'm pretty sure you weren't hitting the Operations dummy. Instead i think you were hitting the "strong" dummy which has a lower armor value. I thought 1600 damage was a bit high for a telekinetic throw tick. Also you need to parse over 5mins+ to get an accurate reading.

I'm not sure what you were trying to acheive by your post, but some of your base understanding of the class is very wrong.

You really shouldn't be using the 2-set PVP bonus. 4-set PVE give 5% alacrity with a very good uptime. I really suggest reading up on the BiS dps post on mmo-mechanics before you give false information to people.

Hrmm well, truth be told i didnt have any clue about there being different types of dummies out there. And well apparently i stand corrected very badly, only 1.5k dps on the MK5 ops dummy over a span of 7minutes (discounting warm up and the end when a sentinel jumped it, i doubt guaranteeing crits with force potency would have helped much). Gueess i've just been having pure luck during raids with my dps compared to my guildies. If i am supposed to hit 200-300dps higher on that dummy. Gueess i'll read up on that thread (didnt even know there was a forum outside of this one).

Now i'm left wondering if i should just delete my previous post...

edit: i just realised my brain also farted on the patches and the items they included. I'm only 1.3 specced (bad luck on the 1.4 item rolls).

First, people shouldnt post parses in which they have armor debuffs. Although it's a more accurate reflection of a real fight it makes it really hard for others to compare, on behalf of not everyone having someone to give them the armor debuff around at all times.

So I would like to know how high people parse wwithout armor debuffs and what your latencies are. I posted a thread called Latency VS Dummies but I messed up and picked the wrong forum so my expectations on that are low.

The short version is that despite using a ship dummy I'm noticing severe packet losses and latency on the dummy. This is not something that happens on real enemies which implies that something is "off". My TK isnt always showing up, fib values I was proud over when fighting the dummy arent logged and the worst, the dots that arent showing up half the time. My latency is never below 130ms and I'm playing on a US server despite being in EU so I'm guessing that might have something to do with it.

What I don't get though is how things seemingly are working just fine in operations and pvp. Or maybe they're not and I'm just performing well anway. I do tend to pull a lot of aggro in operations though and in 99 cases out of 100 I'll out'dps the rest of the sorcs/sages in my warzones (not kidding and I'm probably being modest with that number).

Don't put too much stock into the ops dummy. Look at the parses for your actual raids. Certain specs don't perform that well against the dummies in general. I parse higher on some boss fights than I do on the dummy. Plus, in real fights, we don't lose as much DPS switching targets like melee do. Just tab over and resume killing. A melee might post higher on the dummy than you, but you can still out DPS them on a real boss fight because you are quicker at switching targets and DPSing on the run.

without armor debuff, on the ops dummy i'm putting around 1650 dps over 6min. i've tried different spec, not too big of a difference, except that telekinetic spec has a nice 30sec opening burst. if span over 6min, the average dps is kinda the same. and i'm in one piece 63 rest 61 gear. 4set pve bonus. give me 1022 bonus damage, 35.8% crit, 74.25%surge, 10.25% alacrity. i'm also using rakata adrenal.

i think sage dps need a serious buff. my sentinel can do well over 1750-1800 with no armor debuff on op dummy, and no rakata adrenal; my commando can also do 1700 dps easy. I think my sage is well-geared, but still doesn't do nearly as much damage as equally geared sentinel or commandos.

What's your average ping and are you noticing any hickups between fighting the dummy the parsed data?

when i'm parsing i'm having between 300ms to 29ms ping, i notice sometimes there's a lag and my dps drops a great deal, but still the overall dps remains at around 1650 if lucky can get close to 1700

Is that "29 ms is normal but I get a spike every now and then" or does it really fluctuate that much on a regular basis?

I had to specialise and tweak the heck of both gear and abilities before I got over 1800 by the way.

And the 1800 output only lasts 10 seconds.

I could do approx 2400 as well but it'd be kinetic instead of force damage, and therefore affected by armour etc.

Getting sage dps up to 1800 should be possible mathematically. A firm telekinetic rotation with 63 gear with it at all actually with a War Hero Relic, Power Adrenal, fully buffed and optimized stat should hit that if the curve for the dps follows with the increase of stats for the 63 gear from 61 as it did for 61 from 58.
