Comps still broken after this rushed fix patch!!

My Vanguard had Elara at around 31 inf prior to kotef/kotfe, when I did Iokath I chose Empire so Elara didnt join, got her anyway from the Odessa comp retrieval terminal and got her to inf 50.

always had her as comp since then, when Jedi under siege came out chose Empire (Something different i thought) Elara was here until this last patch, where she reverted to inf 31 and was unavailable again.

Having retrieved Her yet again from Odessa Terminal she is still 31 inf!!

I know its not a Great problem but it has already cost a lot of gifts etc.. into getting her to 50, and also my closest comp to her is only 30ish. With Tanking nerfs the DPS output is at an alltime low and lvl 30ish inf dps takes a long while also to do stuff on Ossus :(

After the 5.10 update, I was left with two Temples. One, was a level 1 and the other was my level 35 who I had gone through the Flashpoint to continue the romance before I advanced to Ossus.

After this week's patch, they deleted my high level Temple and left me with the level 1 which was no longer in a relationship with my character!??

Please explain!

Also, my Kaliyo was reset to influence 1 (down from around 12-15, can't remember)

Still silence from the devs on this (other than the obligatory "we know this is a problem")?

Trashing people's high-ranking companions seems like it would affect an enormous number of players (far more than some gear glitches), but fixing it doesn't seem to be a priority.

Anyone else refraining from logging in until this issue is fixed? At this point, I really don't have confidence in Bioware undoing the damage after the fact, so my only recourse is to avoid incurring it in the first place.

::raises hand:: I didn't log in yesterday when I saw the complaints about companions on the forums and still haven't logged in. I'm currently doing stuff in the other MMO I play instead.

I have only pushed an assassin and sage through Ossus so far, and did this the day after 5.10 launched. I did not skip anything.

My sage had no issues. Some duplicate companions at the bottom, but after 5.10.1 they are gone and I am left with the correct ones.

My assassin had Aric Jorgan and Theron Shan reappear in the main companions list as summonable companions. As of 5.10.1 Theron is in the dead listing where he belongs, but Jorgan is still summonable even though I banished him after the gemini frequency mission. 5.10.1 also deleted duplicate companions at the bottom and left me with the correct ones.

5.10.1 also fixed Paxton Rall's alliance alert and combat dialogue (which was previously mixed up with Nadia Grell tracks). He also no longer repeats the "not my finest moment" line. He's a cool companion and I'm glad to finally have him (I waited till he was fixed to finish his alerts).

I have heard that people who skipped over other content to begin Ossus are having tons of issues. I feel for you all. One thing, however, that is effecting everyone in the game and needs to be fixed fast is the problem with ranged companions not advancing on targets in combat. This effectively makes ranged companions useless (even the OP-broken Shae Visla) during heroics, daily areas, chapters, flashpoints... you know, all the stuff we use companions for.

And while you are at it, please fix HK-51. Hunter-Killer droids should be at the top of the dps list, because that is literally THIER SOLE PURPOSE FOR EXISTING (particularly HK-51, who shares HK-47's programming).

Mine were all fine. /shrug Biggest anomaly I had was my JK's T7 had it's customization duplicated in his inventory. Called T7, re-equipped it and deleted the other one. Other than that, all affection levels on all my characters were unchanged. Even the ones I skipped ahead with. This is probably going to be a hard bug to nail down.

I logged into my dps commando for the first time after 5.10.1. He has completed all story thru end of Iokath but nothing past that I believe. Current storyline quest is Ossus - "The State of Things to Come" and he hasn't started it. So I found a bunch of armor in my commando's inventory, from Yuun I believe, though Yuun hasn't worn this armor in years. This was the armor he wore prior to KotFE. I just left him in the black flight suit looking armor he came with (Yuun's Chestguard, Yuun's Pants, etc.) when my commando reacquired him in KotFE. I can summon Yuun and he seems to be fine. I'm just not sure why this armor showed up in inventory after the 5.10.1 update.

I have since pushed 6 more characters through Ossus (a gunslinger, sniper, guardian, juggernaut, vanguard and commando - they didn't skip anything) and had 3 issues:

1. Duplicate companions were created at the bottom for some class companions. While 5.10.1 got rid of duplicates on existing characters the patch did not prevent extras from being created for me.

2. Banished characters (Kaliyo, Jorgan) are back in the main characters tab and summonable. Dead/unavailable characters are where they should be.

3. Any character retrieved from the terminal (for me, Scorpio and Tanno Vik) were removed. Collecting items from the unavailable character and reacquiring them from the terminal seems to work just fine as a work-around.

No companions are missing that should be present and no influence was reset.

Hey folks,

The team has narrowed down exactly what caused the Companion influence issue and we believe we have a fix for it. The current plan is that we will have that fix in our next patch, which I do not currently have timing on. I will provide more info there as I have it.

One note is that when we fix it one of two things will happen. Either we will restore the companion to their prior Influence or it will remain at its current value, whichever is higher at the time.

Thanks all.

I didn't realize I made one. Which series / episode?

TNG, Tapestry.

I posted this in the Known Issues thread but, a couple days ago I took a Jedi Knight through 5.10 and at the end she once again had companion duplicates: Sergeant Fideltin Rusk and C2-N2 both under "Unavailable Companions" and Provost Marshall Rusk and C2-N2 under "Other Followers".

I also just noticed that I have Lord Dramath under Contacts: Main Characters. This character should not have Lord Dramath there as she released him from his prison.

They really need to clean up the Companion screen in general though.

Under the "Followers" section we have:

Main Characters

Companions

Companions: <class>

Other Followers

Creatures

Droids

Under the "Contacts" section we have:

Main Characters

Alliance Recruit

Alliance Specialists

Companions

Unavailable Companions

This is very messy and somewhat confusing. I also wish there was a way to remove companions you rejected/killed/imprisoned from the "Alliance Recruit" section because at this point they are no longer Alliance Recruits.

According to previous posts in the patch notes, the problem with Darth Hexid being unavailable when you recruit Paxton Rall was supposed to be fixed in patch 5.10.1. My Scoundrel (Estianne) still shows Hexid unavailable. What happened to the fix?

Did you try looking in your Alliance Alerts? You may have to re-recruit her.

On my sith assassin who went through every chapter including the Iokath/traitor stories all in order of the game play:

  • Acina shows alive as it should because he sided with the Empire on Iokath.
  • Jace Malcolm is completely absent from the list so nothing shows on his update anymore about who he is and that he's now dead.
  • Elara is correctly listed as rejecting the Alliance.
  • Quinn is listed at the bottom saying he reuinited with my character but we both chose to go our separate ways. That did not happen since it was my Sith Assassin not warrior and Quinn was recruited to my alliance. I also cannot summon Quinn.
