Took me a couple tries on my Defense/Vigilance Guardian. Beat him after looking up a strategy here on the forums that basically said to let Kira do most of the work, attacking first with her Blade Ward up, while you focus on interrupts and just whittling away his health until Kira gets close to death. Then Taunt, pop Saber Ward, Heroic Moment, Saber Ward again (if necessary) and beat the hell out of Valis.

 

This was some time ago, though, so some parts of this strategy may not work anymore. Just make sure you and Kira both are in the best gear you have and get juiced up on endurance or strength stims.

I sent in Kira first. She gets stunned, then I walk in and smack him a bit. Once he uses that AOE ability GET AWAY (I don't remember if it's interruptible) use med packs and heroic ability. He's really hard to beat because of his damage, but he's not that hard to smack down.

All i did was switch kira to damage
