Dee-Jay
If you think about it, raids are the ultimate social experience in an MMO. And yet the only source for social points remain group conversations largely found in Flashpoints and Quests. Now if I can acquire Social points from simply grinding the Esseles over and over again, why can't I also gain them from...say raiding? Why not add 1-2 dialogue scenes at the begging and end of every Flashpoint so you can slowly build up Social Points that way. It just seems dumb to be forced into spamming Esseles runs just to acquire these points.
Darth_Vicente
Because a lot of raiders (not all, of course) *****ed and moaned, "WE DUN WANT UR STORY, WE JUST WANT 2 RAID NOW" from as far back as before they even TALKED about Operations (as in, years before release). As such, they probably looked at that as "Well, it looks like the raiders don't want the conversations...." And here we are. I'm sure there was more too it, but it's an influencing factor.
