Think I figured out who the real threat is...

Since Umbara I have gone through so many questions and explainations and have read several different ones on here and I think I finally figured it out.

On Iokath some robed figure sabotages the throne room, we are told it is someone close to us/the outlander.

We practically know it won't be specific companions because too many of them could be dead, again either Acina or Jace could be dead so that excludes them too. The specialists probably didn't go to Iokath, so the only others close enough to the outlander would be Lana and Theron. A hunt for the traitor begins, there are investigations and interviews. The whole alliance or it's top people at least are suspects and they know it.

Theron says basically that even through all their hard work trying to find the traitor they haven't yet found them. So, how do you lure out a traitor who is aware that they could be found at any moment....create a fake traitor to lure them out. Thus ending the investigations and interviews, making it easier for the traitor to trip themselves up.

I have read on here that some people believe that Lana is in on the false traitor story and some are angry that if that's the case why isn't the outlander in on it too?

I think the outlander hasn't been informed of this because...I think the traitor is the outlander. Unwittingly of course and this is why they know nothing of the plan. Also I think the only person that wouldn't have been investigated or interview would be the outlander as the threat is close to them thus ruling them out of suspicion.

This is why I think this. I believe that Valkorian is still lurking in their mind but has hidden himself away just like he did in chpt 12 of FE and since his supposed destruction has been working to take over quietly and now he has gotten to a point where he can temporarily take control of the outlander when they are sleeping or maybe they are having blackouts. He is working with this new order (the scions, cause we know they are or were at least still devoted to and loyal to Valkorian) to get rid of the alliance so he can take control of the throne again and the scions would be willing to help him.

Ugh please no, not anymore Valkorian! I am so sick of the Emperor story line. PLEASE! Bioware just leave him dead and move on to other story lines.

That being said. They already pissed me off with Theron, which I am just hoping he is doing his typical spy thing and just being a double agent. But if they turn Lana into the real traitor I am immediately uninstalling and will never play this game again.

I feel like this is a bit of a stretch, but I follow your logic. I agree that Theron isn't really betraying us though. However, I tend to think the whole traitor thing is Theron trying to get rid of the real threat. Who knows, there are several ways this could go, I just hope there isn't a kill option for Theron that would marginalize him as a character. Haven't romanced him, but I like having him around.

I really don't think they would give a kill option on Theron, although they have done it to past companions I don't think the same applies here. For one if he's not really the traitor then he is just doing what he is supposed to be doing, his job. Then there's the fact that there are three major characters in the story and that lead the alliance and he is one of them, it wouldn't be so easy just to drop his role and even less easy just to throw in a replacement. This is why I don't think they would do it to Lana either.

I also don't think it's just an outside threat that has managed to infiltrate the alliance because if that was the case it wouldn't be a case of one person secretly trying to get rid of them on their own, the outlander would have been told and a full scale assault would have been the way to do it.

Valkorion has tricked us into believing he was dead or gone before. With the JK and chpt 12. He's been around for centuries and is known for being patient to get what he wants.

I really don't think one fight with four people is going to end him once and for all.

We just ended Valkorion, it's too soon for him to make a return already. As for Theron kill option, I don't think there will be one either. They'll continue to make Theron and Lana versatile enough to make them suitable for every story to come in the however many years of swtor there are left. Edited by Eshvara
