Just came back to the game and need an influx of credits, what from the cartel store sells well and fast on the galactic market?

Depending on how big an "influx of credits" you "need", you might try:
* Run Heroics on high-level characters, making sure to do the bonus missions.
* Craft stuff and sell it. Some items sell for less than the cost of the ingredients, some for more, some for a *lot* more, especially if you gather the non-white materials yourself.

I put "need" in quotes in the above because if you're looking for credits to buy a big-ticket piece of Cartel Market fluff on the GTN, you don't in any sense of the word *need* it. All the essential ingredients for game play(1) can be had in-game for not all that much money. Want a mount? 8K credits gets you *something* you can ride. Want a stronghold as an easy-access-easy-return storage-access hub? 5K credits gets you one of Coruscant or Dromund Kaas, and 10K gets you both so all your characters can access them without paying to be smuggled to the other side(2).

That said, unopened hypercrates or the packs inside them are usually reliable sources of credits.

(1) Except for the part of the game that I call Fashion Wars: the Old Catwalk, sometimes called Space Barbie.

(2) You'll quite rapidly spend more than 5K smuggling your Pubsiders to Dromund Kaas or your Impsiders to Coruscant, since it costs 1000 credits per visit, except for Smugglers and Agents, who get a discount.

Hypercrates don't sell that well anymore, unless you put them up at a considerable lower price than those on the gtn at the moment. (On starforge the cheapest is 245 Mill, so to sell itfor definately, and quickly, you'd probably have to let it go for 180-200 Mill)
No Idea if people use these, but if so, here's my referral link

For most purposes, 180-200 million is still a substantial amount.

And what would you suggest instead, to give a good "credits per CC" ratio?

There is no good ratio anymore, cheap stuff can sell for crazy prices, or expensive cc stuff, goes for little or nothing. It was just a suggesting to the OP that if he wants to sell crates quickly for credits that he'd have to sell them at a larger difference than what's there at the moment, which is why i suggested 180-200 mill, as if they put them up just below the cheepest (ie 240 or so) it might take longer to sell. It depends on how quickly they want the credits.

There other items to buy & sell, but hypercrates are probably the easiest and quickest, if the price is reduced enough
