The forward command base on Taris (right near the end of the Taris quest line) is bugged.

 

Some quests accepted there will kill your client. I think it is caused by some bad path finding problem to do with quest tracking. If you have this problem and are waiting for customer support to fix your character, you can do this to fix it yourself.

 

1) Log in as your character and quickly press "L" to pull up your quest page.

2) uncheck any Taris quests you can see.

3) let your game crash, then repeat from step 1 until it works.

 

It will be super laggy as you try this, it took me three tries just to get the quest menu to load before my client crashed. If you press "L" on the loading screen when the bar is near the end of loading.. sometimes this will work so that the quest log loads at the same time as the game.

 

Goodluck with it, I'm going to just try and complete those quests with the quest tracker turned off.

Oh yeah and please reply to this if it helps. I'm not allowed to bump my own post but I think it is useful.

It does not. The only solution that works 100% is have a CSR teleport you off the planet.
