Is it so old that it only has PCI or AGP graphics or does it have PCI Express slots? What size power supply does it have? Without knowing that info, any suggestions you get might be useless. The best recommendation is probably to go to a site like Newegg.com and look at their graphics cards. You can specify a price range in their search tool and it will bring up a list of cards that fit into that range. You can also specify what motherboard slot type the card needs to be (PCI, AGP, PCIe), as well as your prefered chipset (ATI, nVidia). Other than that, you might want to ask in the Customer Service forum. There are more technical folks hanging out in that forum.
