Level 50 Daily Mission Guide (Empire)

Preface:

This guide is meant to show fresh level 50's (on the imperial side) what they need to do in order to get the gear necessary for running hardmodes and raids, focusing on daily missions acquired at level 50. As a guild leader, I've made it a requirement for all of my guild members who wish to participate in raids to go through these steps in order to acquire minimum-level raid gear, without having to run hardmodes (which, while providing slightly better gear, are not a necessity for raiding and provide far less reward for the time required).

1. Unlocking Daily Missions

First things first, you cant do daily missions if you dont unlock them. I've noticed that a large number of players get to level 50, and then try to jump right into flashpoints, hardmodes, and operations without ever even going through the steps necessary to unlock daily missions for their characters - doing so locks you out of a lot of easily obtainable, high-quality gear, along with a massive amount of credits.

I believe most people simply dont realize how much you gain out of these daily missions. You can afford the 1.5 million speeders in a week if you do daily missions on a regular basis, and you can have fully modded entry-level gear for raids in that time as well.

Unlocking Belsavis Dailies:

Once you reach level 50, a mission terminal will activate in the ring surrounding the cantina on the imperial fleet. This mission terminal will direct you to belsavis, where you'll begin the Belsavis Bonus Series missions. Just like any other bonus series, these missions are pretty self explanatory and relatively easy to solo your way through. Once the bonus series has been completed, you'll gain access to daily repeatable missions on Belsavis from Domination Outpost, Imperial Deep Launch Point, and the Signal Monitoring Center.

Unlocking Ilum Dailies:

When your final class quest has been completed at level 50, you'll be directed towards the empire's efforts to secure Ilum from the Republic. Just like any other planet your character travels to while questing, you'll receive a number of planetary missions that must be finished before unlocking Daily Missions. These planetary missions will also, at their finale, lead you into the two level 50 flashpoints: Battle for Ilum and False Emperor.

2. Ilum Daily Missions

Ilum offers 6 daily repeatable missions, all of which can be completed in approximately one hour or less. The heroic daily here may take longer, since you'll need a group for it.

1. A tightened Grip

Rewards:

10,762 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

Located just south of the main imperial base on Ilum, this mission can be typically be completed in 5 minutes. All you have to do is blow up 4 weapon crates, and there are 5 of them that spawn right at the entrance to the quest area. Killing the mobs guarding those weapon crates will yield the attack plans you need for the second objective of the mission.

2. Defend the Shipment

Rewards:

10,762 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

Located north-northwest of the main imperial base on Ilum, you'll have to enter an area guarded by republic NPCs, and find two supply crates. Once the crates are activated, roughly 10-15 enemies will spawn intermittently. They have very limited health, and can typically be killed in a few seconds each.

3. Operation Shatterstorm

Rewards:

10,762 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

This mission takes place north of the imperial forward outpost. You'll have to collect communications codes from 5 communications towers guarded by Talz commandos. The Talz Spotters can be particularly annoying, as they like to spam knockbacks on their target, but have relatively low health.

Tip: Clear the first communications tower you see on the left as you enter the area from the south, then head east/northeast and clear two more towers. By the time the third tower is cleared, the first and second towers will have their interactive consoles respawned, but the mobs will not have spawned yet, allowing you to finish the mission more quickly and with less combat involved.

4. Sabotage

Rewards:

10,762 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

This mission takes place west-northwest of the imperial forward outpost. As you enter the area, you'll see a lot of friendly imperial NPCs. Follow the left wall, go past the stairway that will open up on your left, and take a right. This area will have the odd-looking drilling machines you need to sabotage. After you activate the control panel, five enemies will jetpack into the area to fight you, aoe takes them out very quickly.

5. Rightful Owner

Rewards:

10,762 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

This mission takes place in the same area as Sabotage. If you follow the path listed for the sabotage mission above, you'll find an area where there are 7 crates in relatively close proximity and only guarded by one group of enemies, allowing you to loot the 5 crates you need to finish the mission very quickly.

6. Poisonous Strategy - HEROIC 2+

Rewards:

13,995 Credits

3 Daily Commendations

1 Artifact-Quality (purple) Enhancement

This mission, despite being labelled as a 2 man heroic, often takes 3-4 players due to the ridiculously high AoE damage dealt by the Jedi Commanders. A healer and tank are a minimum necessity here.

As you travel north along the eastern ice wall from the main imperial base, you'll find one republic hut with an environmental control panel facing you. This hut is guarded by 2 strong droids, one strong sniper, and one elite commando. Take out the enemies, then activate the control panel to summon two jedi. I recommend simply waiting after you take out those two jedi for the control panel and enemies to respawn, as trying to access the other huts can often result in unwanted pulls that can cause wipes.

Tip: The jedi commanders (wielding double-bladed green lightsabers) are your priority targets here. They deal a massive amount of AoE damage, and teleport between players, making them very dangerous to the group - but they have little health and die quickly. The Blue-lightsaber wielding jedi knights deal far less damage and arent a major threat.

Total Rewards From Ilum Daily Missions:

67,805 Credits (From Mission Rewards)

12,500~ Credits (From Enemy Kills)

9,000~ Credits (From Selling Looted Items)

= 89,305 Credits

8 Daily Commendations

1 Purple-Quality Level 50 Enhancement

3. Belsavis Daily Missions

Belsavis offers significantly more in the way of daily missions than Ilum, at 11 total missions, 3 of which are group heroics, two of which require a 4 man group.

1. Invisible Threat

Rewards:

7,175 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

This mission takes place just south of Domination Outpost, and requires you to kill two republic stealth commanders and a number of republic stealth troops. Simple slaughter mission, no noteworthy mechanics.

2. Unintended Consequences

Rewards:

7,175 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

Just west of Domination outpost you'll find a vault leading underground. The vault is occupied by droids and kaleesh, and you'll need to kill them on your way into the vault to obtain the first, second, and third fragments of the Wraith Box. Once you have all three fragments, head to the back of the vault, where you'll find a Kaleesh Commander. The Commander is an elite and takes a while to kill, but does not do a particularly large amount of damage. Once the commander is dead, use the item at the back of the vault to re-assemble the wraith box and complete the mission.

3. Reluctant Volunteers

Rewards:

7,175 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

For this mission you need to use a savant subjugation device, located in your mission inventory, to subdue 3 Esh'ka savants. Optionally, you can subdue the esh'ka high savant, which is an elite. All of these enemies are located directly outside of the imperial deep launch point base. You can only use the subjugation device on esh'ka savants that are below 30% health - and at that point they will stop attacking you for one minute. Companions have a bad habit of killing the savant as you're trying to subdue it, however - I recommend putting companions on passive after a savant reaches 50% health.

4. Found in Translation

Rewards:

7,175 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

This mission takes place just west of the area with the Esh'ka savants. You'll travel down into a rakata vault filled with esh'ka hostiles. Your objective is to recover 24 alien weapons, located in weapon crates within the vault. Each crate contains 6 weapons, so you only need 4 crates total to finish the mission. You'll find one crate with the first group of enemies in the vault. When you come to a "T" intersection, take a right, and you'll have to fight one elite esh'ka that can be relatively tough for lesser geared players. The room this elite is in contains 4 more crates, making quest completion relatively quick and easy.

5. Ancient Transmissions

Rewards:

7,175 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

This mission is in a second vault just north of the vault for Lost in Translation. You'll need to fight your way into the vault through groups of esh'ka, including one elite esh'ka who uses force abilities. After the elite, you'll need to kill two more normal groups of enemies, and then use a console to finish the mission.

6. Deadly Mutations

Rewards:

7,175 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

This mission is obtained from a transmission terminal in a tunnel just north of the imperial signal monitoring center, from the same droid that gives you the ancient transmissions mission. You'll find a vault just beyond the tunnel filled with c'thon mutations. You need to kill 5 of the mutations, and destroy 5 irradiating machines located along the walls.

7. Droid Malfunction

Rewards: 7,175 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

This mission is obtained from a broken-down war droid at the imperial signal monitoring station. The area just outside the vault for deadly mutations contains esh'ka that drop droid memory cores you'll need to collect (5 in total) to finish the mission.

8. The Carriers of Xenovirus Prime

Rewards: 7,175 Credits

1 Daily Commendation

Obtained from a transmission terminal at the Imperial Signal Monitoring Station, this mission requires you to head into a vault located just east of the station itself (the entrance is, literally, right next to the monitoring station building). You'll have to travel down into the vault, which splits off in two directions. Each direction will be 4 containment cells, only two cells in each direction contain carriers of the virus, and you need to mark 4 carriers total (meaning you must go both directions). As you approach each cell, a message will pop up on your screen telling you whether or not the inmate in that cell is a virus carrier. For cells containing virus carriers, use the "handful of location markers" object in your mission inventory to mark the cell.

Tip: The right path has an elite war droid at the far end protecting a security lockbox that usually contains a green or blue item. The droid isnt difficult to kill, and the items can sometimes be worth a good bit of money, even at vendors.

9. Freeing the Fallen - HEROIC 2+

Rewards:

13,995 Credits

3 Daily Commendations

1 Artifact-Quality (Purple) Mod

This mission requires you to travel into another vault located next to the imperial signal monitoring station. You'll face several groups of droids, which are relatively easy to take down, and then you need to fight a jedi champion. The jedi doesnt do a lot of damage but does dish out some minor AoE that DPS will need to be aware of.

10. Old Enemies - HEROIC 4

Rewards:

13,995 Credits

3 Daily Commendations

1 Artifact-Quality (Purple) Armoring

This mission is just north of Domination Outpost. The groups of enemies you face here are rather difficult, with some of the enemies capable of stunning the main tank for 8 seconds at the start of each pull, while the rest of the enemies go after your group. I recommend using crowd control if you dont have a good AoE tank.

The boss himself is relatively easy to kill, though you will need to interrupt his heals when he gets low on health.

Tip: The Armorings rewarded by this mission are worse than the 8 daily commendation armorings you can buy at the mission support vendors on belsavis or ilum. I recommend avoiding these armorings and instead choosing the blue storage case as a reward, which can often provide gear that you can either use or sell for a decent amount.

11. Lights Out - HEROIC 4

Rewards:

13,995 Credits

3 Daily Commendations

1 Custom-Quality (Orange) Companion Weapon

This mission takes place southeast of Domination Outpost, where you'll need to enter a republic base (phased) and take out 3 power generators. When you enter the phase, hug the left wall, you'll be able to skip most of the enemies by following the left wall around to the back of the base. The enemies here come in packs of 4-5 strong and elite mobs, with a lot of jedi. Use Crowd Control or a good AoE tank, and AoE or focus fire the targets down.

The second power generator is guarded by a champion boss. He can be relatively difficult to take out due to having a very large amount of health (200K) and dealing heavy aoe damage to the group. Be sure to interrupt his orbital strike ability (easily recognized by three white laser beams from the sky that will all move in towards a single point), and the fight becomes much easier. This is a DPS and healing intensive fight. The boss regularly drops blue and purple items, including high quality armor and relics.

Tip: The generators can be sabotaged even while in combat, so you can destroy the second generator even if you cant kill the boss guarding it. This also makes it easy for stealth classes to solo this mission by avoiding enemies and simply sabotaging each generator, then vanishing to get out of combat.

Total Rewards From Belsavis Daily Missions:

99,385 Credits (From Mission Rewards)

39,000~ Credits (From Enemy Kills)

29,000~ Credits (From Selling Looted Items)

= 167,385 Credits

17 Daily Commendations

1 Purple-Quality Level 50 Mod

1 Purple-Quality Level 50 Armoring

1 Orange-Quality Level 50 Companion Weapon

4. Gearing Up

Typically, a level 50 character should have the following items as orange-quality (customizable):

1. Head

2. Chest

3. Gloves

4. Legs

5. Feet

6. Weapon

Both Ilum and Belsavis have Mission Support Vendors which will provide you with daily commendation rewards - each vendor sells level 50, purple-quality Hilts, Barrels, and Armorings for 8 commendations each which are better than anything you'll typically be able to craft or acquire from pve mission rewards/flashpoints until you get into hard-mode flashpoints and operations.

If you do not have an orange, moddable belt or bracers, you'll need to do enough daily missions to acquire 1 barrel/hilt, 5 armorings, 6 enhancements, and 6 mods. For the barrel/hilt and armorings, you'll need a total of 30 daily commendations, and you gain 25 per day if you do all of the daily missions on both planets, meaning that you should be able to get all of your epic armorings and your barrel/hilt within 2 days.

The heroic 2+ missions on Ilum and belsavis reward one enhancement and one mod respectively, meaning you'll need to do each of those 6 times (8 if you have moddable bracers/belt), or 6 days worth of daily missions. In that amount of time, you can also equip all of your companions with high quality weapons via the Ancient Enemies Heroic 4 daily mission on belsavis.

Not taking into account the 30 commendations you'll spend on armorings and a hilt or barrel, 6 days worth of daily missions will get you 120 Daily Commendations. Mission Support Vendors on Ilum and belsavis provide purple-quality, level 50 Implants and Earpieces for 120 Commendations each, so you should be able to afford one of these within the first 6 days as well, and another 12 days for the remaining two items.

Those 6 days of daily missions will also net you 1,560,000 credits - enough to purchase one of the 1.5 million credit speeders sold on voss or the imperial fleet, if you choose to purchase one.

So, to recap, 6 days worth of daily missions will get you:

5 level 50 Armorings

1 level 50 Barrel or Hilt

6 level 50 Mods

6 level 50 Enhancements

5 level 50 Companion Weapons

1 Rakata Earpiece or Implant

1,560,000 Credits

And that completes this guide. To sum it up: stop skipping your daily missions people, there's more in it than you think.

5* Space Combat

This section has been added to the guide by request, due to the addition of daily commendation rewards from space combat at level 50.

Currently, there is one level 50 space mission (repeatable daily) for the Empire: Operation Ascendant Pride, which requires you to finish the Ascendancy Barrier mission. This is a minefield mission which requires you to do the following:

1. Destroy 175 Mines

2. Destroy Minelayer's Engines (2)

3. Destroy Minelayer's Bay (1)

4. (Bonus) Destroy Fighter Tender Engines (4)

5 (Bonus) Destroy Ace Plug-6 Heavy Fighters (4)

Some tips for this mission:

-An EMP field generator is extremely handy for taking out your mine objectives quickly. You have two options for using it:

1) you can use the emp generator at the very beginning of the mission (in the first minefield), and get about half of your mine kills, and then you'll have it available in the last 2 minutes or so of the mission to use against more mines or against the minelayer and it's escorts.

2) you can wait until about halfway through the mission, where you're in a larger minefield - using the emp generator in the center of this field will get you around 150 mine kills all at once, but it wont be available later in the mission.

-The Fighter Tenders have 3 engines each, there are two of them in the mission, so you'll need to blow up the 3 engines on the first tender and then hit at least one from the second tender.

-You only get two passes on the minelayer ship, so make sure you're focusing on destroying it's engines and mine bay rather than on the surrounding fighters and mines.

-The Ace Plug-6 Heavy Fighters bonus can be a bit difficult to complete.

Ace Fighter #1 shows up as you engage the first fighter tender, it can sometimes get mixed up in the other fighters as well as smoke from the tender, making it difficult to see, but if you pick it up relatively quickly you should be able to destroy it before it goes offscreen.

Ace Fighter #2 shows up about a minute later, and begins by flying to the left side of the screen - your ship will turn at this time and you'll be unable to see the fighter for another 15-20 seconds, then it will start flying around the edge of your screen and finally out in front of you, allowing you to destroy it.

Ace Fighter #3 is the easiest one to destroy, he'll fly out in front of you at close range for a pretty long duration compared to the others.

Ace Fighter #4 is the most difficult to bag, as he shows up right at the end of the mission when you're making your first pass on the minelayer ship. This fighter stays at long range and is difficult to distinguish from the 'normal' fighters, but you get two passes at him as you're attacking the minelayer ship. Make sure you have missiles for the last one, and having your EMP generator available can help.

Overall, your rewards from completing this space mission will be as follows:

20 Fleet Commendations (15 from the daily mission, 5 from completing the mission itself)

2 Daily Commendations (from the daily mission)

7,848 Credits (from the daily mission)

4,905 Credits (from the mission itself)

Total Credit gain = 12,753

Except for quest locations this guide is also highly useful for Republic players. Perhaps you could expand it in the future to include both sides?

My highest level republic character is... level 1. So probably not likely to happen anytime soon =P

I recommend avoiding these armorings and instead choosing the blue storage case as a reward, which can often provide gear that you can either use or sell for a decent amount.

The difference is:

+1 primary stat ( strength, cunning, aim, will)

+1 endurance

+couple points of armor.

so your right, they are "worse" but by a difference of 1.

The armor are also good if you can use them on a companion. They are also BOE so you can sell/trade them with a friend to gear each other up or gear up a companion. You can easilly so the heroic 4 with 2 people if you have good companions.

Thanks for posting this Tenacity!

Being level 50 and almost done with my class story, I was really wondering what there was in the way of daily missions without going into PvP.

Maybe at long last I can finally replace my Athiss outfit :D

I've generally shyed away from the space missions because I was leveling too fast even without them but I am curious. Which space mission is the 'final' one that unlocks the daily one? I might try and get that to gather more daily commendations.

I skimmed the replies, but there are 2 more Daily Commendations for completing the Highest Level Space Mission (The Hard Mode Mine Field).

Also, Tightened Grip requires a number of NPC kills, not boxes. The Boxes are part of the Bonus.

Finally, most people will actually buy your Purple Item Modification items on the GTN for upwards to 30-50k a piece, and Rakata Implants themselves can also be sold on the GTN (or off the GTN through Trade). These monetary gains can add up quite exponentially.

Also, a guild mate of mine just finished the Bonus mission from Poisonous Strategy ( destroy 5 or 6 speeders then kill a 100k Champion mob ) and got another 2 Daily commendations with 3k Credits. Will confirm later today, but if someone gets the opportunity to try it before, please post information.

I can confirm this. This one, and the Talz Mission for 5 Relay acquisitions both have a multi stage Bonus that culminates in 2 extra Daily Coms each. You can only do it once however. The Bonus Series quests that are not repeatable Dailies on Belsavis, and the standard Story quest line of Ilum also provide Daily Commendations when completed.

Didnt list these because those bonus missions are not repeatable daily, you can only do them once.
