Feztonio
Nope Hk wasn't any different in cut-scenes unfortunately. he was just blue/purple geared at my level unlike T7 who I hadn't touched since tython plus HK is more like my personality than the lovely-dovey jedi fanboy T7 is

BenKatarn
Nope Hk wasn't any different in cut-scenes unfortunately. I was more interested in what he himself was doing during the cutscenes. Like, when you confront the Emperor and he uses the duplicates, T7 blasts one of them, so I was wondering if HK does the same. Did you get/lose any affection from your responses during the encounter? BacaWicket
I'm kinda tempted to say "to beat the emperor there's a bug so basically you have to click on him then press alt+f4 then he'll be defeated"but since he wants to consume the entire galaxy for the sake of immortality ill give it my best guess so i'm assuming you just have to DPS him like crazy then when a bunch of him appears have your astromech kill some of them while you get the rest
Allronix
OK. I do not play a Knight. I play a Shadow, but I've run escort for four different Knights as they took out Darth Cthulhu. 1) Gear the Knight up. I mean, run some Black Hole or Ilum Dailies. Spend your planetary commendations at the Makeb dealer (if you have access to Level 55), or Classic Commendations (Level 50). 2) Gear the little astromech up. People forget about their companions in this game, but I'm a BioWare vet. Your companions make all the difference in the world on a brawl like this. There is a puzzle in the Dark Temple that gives you a passible set of gear if you haven't bothered to maintain the little guy, but it's no subsitute for Classic Commendation armor. 3) There is no shame in asking for a little backup. Shadow Tank backing up a DPS Knight (and I take Tharan with me; the man isn't intimidated by Force-based nonsense) works nicely. A Healer Scoundrel teamed with a Tank Guardian also makes for an excellent team (and what's more humiliating to Emperor High and Mighty than getting taken out by a kick to the groin?) 4) Once you and the party are armed for bear, charge in. His followers are a pain, which is why the backup from your guild or your pals is uaually a good idea. 5) when you reach him, DPS like crazy. Your little astromech is your tank, so let the droid distract him while you wail on Cthulhu with your glowbat. 6) Oh, he splits into a half dozen pieces? I remember that trick from the old Brotherhood of Shadow mod. Nice try, but Akirrikon Sin did it better. Don't hit tab and try to attack them all. Focus on one and see if you can damage him. No damage? Go to the next until you're hitting the guy who actually takes damage. You only need to cut off the source and the others will fall. 7) Voice of the Emperor is a one-shot kill, so keep your interrupts on standby; not just the regular interrupt ability, but all the push attacks, the knockbacks, the stuns. He wants to scream, cut him off. If you have a buddy, let them know to throw all of their interrupts and keep Darth Cthulhu distracted. Oh, and amusingly enough, he did not appear to be immune to Holiday.
SebastiaanZ
One more thing, if you got HK, bring HK. When you hit 50, HK has about 15k health opposed to T7 who may have even with the armor set of the Dark Temple, a little more then 13k, You only need T7 to pass through one thing, HK can take over from there. Sorasen
Interrupt interrupt interrupt interrupt interrupt interrupt interrupt interrupt interrupt. I hated this fight and almost threw all my toys out of the pram doing it. Managed to kill him on my 4th attempt and it was a massive anti-climax because I was so busy checking for that one-shot ability that I never noticed I'd killed him until it was all over. Annoying really because the rest of the JK story I enjoyed. LOL yeah me too, I was just button mashing until everything went quiet and got that repeated "No enemy targeted" text covering the screen. I feels ya buddy.

Spetulhu
Forgive a Noobie question, but what are interrupts? I'm desperatly trying to kill him and I can't!!! Interrupt - an ability that will disrupt an enemy abilty activation. Every class should have one or two, and they do become important once you do harder flashpoints or operations. Go through your class and advanced class abilites and find those that say they interrupt enemies. Then make sure to use one when the enemy begins his big killy spell of doom. AlixMV
Forgive a Noobie question, but what are interrupts? I'm desperatly trying to kill him and I can't!!! For a Knight, it's Force Kick, although some of the stuns (Force Stasis, Awe, and the Guardian's Force Push) can also work in some cases.
ozrique
Oh the memories! I remember struggling so hard with this, and at the time being there was a maximum of 5 people on fleet (this was before the first merge and I deliberately chose a server with low population when creating my first toon) and no one would help me - for days! I remember my sentinel had plenty of mighty fine gear, full with cunning and aim - I mean they were purple items, pretty high in level - around 40-45 at least! Bound to be good right? Eventually I found the Recruit MK-1 PvP set in my mailbox and was so happy when I eventually defeated him. I still wear the recruit set =)
