Tanking in PVP is a brand new ball game imo. No hybrid worthy of the name will get spinning kick out of stealth which sucks, and with the changes to shield it might be much better for someone looking to be tanky to actually use tank stats. That being said I'd think a full kinetic build would be better, though the Kinetic Hybrid that goes into infil for the area reduction isn't a bad way to go at all in PVP. A guildmate of mine is wedded to slow time for the snare though. More utility, and lots of self healing from TKT, but one less cooldown essentially, and of course 30% more AOE damage which is important since I don't see smash going anywhere.

You're generating 100% more threat in that stance.

Look at it this way. Lets say you're doing enough damage in Infiltration or Balance that you're JUST below the threat threshold. That's what you should be doing as a DPS. Doing as much DPS as possible without pulling threat. Now lets say you do the same amount of damage while using combat technique. Not more, the same. Now you're pulling threat because all that damage is generating twice the threat it normally does (and in any kind of kinetic build doing so rather burstily if you're using it for PA). The amount of damage you can do before pulling threat has been effectively cut in half. If you're planning to slow play it long enough for the tank to get a lead so big they never lose threat you have to do that much more damage over another spec that was able to open up harder sooner.

My guess is infiltration will be much better, but my shadow in PVE is a tank so who knows?
In update 2.9 the game will simply uninstall itself for you.
