But Disney has to get their head out of their posteriors in regards to what they do with the franchise next.

I cant facepalm enough that some people are still on about "brand fatigue"... Endgame is the 5th MCU movie in less than 18 months since Black Panther in January 2018 and it's smashing box office records. SW done goofed bad with the sequel trilogy, that's pretty much obvious now.
Disney has no plans on stopping with SW movies. Their focus is at the moment on Disney+ streaming service, but they already got planned SW movies for 2022,2024 and 2026. It looks like trilogy and many believe it's gonna be something with Knights of The Old Republic era. And 2 people directing it are the ones, who are f-ing up Game of Thrones final season. Week after week I see on internet people tearing down each episode. Personally I stopped watching it after 2nd season, because they messed up timeline and 10 episodes just didn't cut it for runtime. Now final season has like 6 episodes, no wonder it's bad. BUt I do read books from Martin.

So yeah in short Disney is learning it's lesson (not). SW is the next Transformers franchise, where no matter how bad it gets people will go see it and they'll just keep making more of it, because all they care about is money, not quality.

I'm *Not going to see it; maybe when it comes cable otherwise no. Disney is wrecking "Star Wars"; A Genre BlockBuster . Disney makes these movies for the sake of generating money, not for the sake of them being "Star Wars". When the original crew (Director(s), Writer(s), CGI staff, etc is still around and Disney treats them and their "Input" from "BlockBuster making Experience" with lies, intimidation, threats and job terminations it would seem Disney doesn't really care how to make a movie of any quality.

Bringing back the "Bad Guys" after death diminishes the entire original struggle (Story) against them (and when the original is diminished then anything afterwards is diminished aswell), also "Click Bait" for the "Trendy, Edgy, Cliché". The cheapest, easiest way to get money for all the worst reasons, certainly Cheaper then finding anybody capable of creating a new likeable character.

George friggen Lucas.

He's been apart of it since before the script was written. He is responsible for entire scenes and some of the dialog. He's been an advisor to J.J. and in fact he even was allowed to direct certain scenes.

J.J. is one smart dude. He just saved Star Wars.

This movie, isn't gonna suck. It's gonna be friggen awesome.

This is Lucas grand finale. No chance they skimped on it.

And the best part?

You're not even going to hear the word 'Grey' used in any context whatsoever.
That makes it worth it right there.

Yeah, they're gonna smear Luke's memory in the dirt by naming a side of the force that doesn't even exist after him and concept that doesn't even exist in canon.

You're either a Star Wars fan or you're not.

And just for the record, I'm not trying to start an argument here, people are allowed to like whatever they want. My only concern is for canon and what it actually and factually is. Lucas Canon is still canon. And they have said numerous times that they will never invalidate Lucas canon and that all future Star Wars stories must align with the themes and concepts set by the creator of Star Wars. Darkside/Lightside/No Grey is the very foundation upon which the entire Star Wars Universe is predicated on.

What people do within the confines of their own little role playing groups is their business, I wouldn't prevent people from playing 'Grey' concept characters in their own groups even if I could. Games are about having fun.

It just gets problematic when it comes to canon. I freely admit I am anti-Grey. I'm an old school hardcore Star Wars fan. I don't get any more say than anyone else when it comes to Star Wars canon. Only the Lucasfilm Story Group does. And they have spoken on the subject and ruled. There is no 'Grey' in canon. The following spoiler has quotes from them regarding for anyone should they wish to read them.

I don't expect to change anyone's minds. You're free to like what you want and want canon to change if you want. I don't want it, some of you do, where the different lines of thought fans have go, only time will tell. It will change or it won't.
--------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[Some people think bring up Bendu and Mortis is a good thing. I can't for the life of me understand how people who want the "Grey" thing to gain traction why on earth they would point then out. Now I hate that stuff, so it really doesn't gain me anything for saying so, but your hurting your cause by doing it. Your call though.]

Lucasfilm Story Group Quotes/Rulings on 'Grey' - These are just some of the quote regarding it, there are several others.

This is canon, if you refuse to acknowledge as such, that's your right I guess. I don't expect it to change anyone's mind. I'm sure most already know this. But, maybe some people don't realize the canon as it is, because they read some much crap on the internet, I can honestly understand why some people would be confused. A ton of misinformation out there.

But Disney already has planned movies for 2022, 2024 and 2026 for Star Wars. So whole 3 years of "big break" from Star Wars movies. If people were actually smart and not just go "I'm a SW fan will see every movie no matter what, because I'm SW fan" and send them message with episode IX....then they'll stop and think about quality. Now for them is just rolling out new movies. Do you want a-la Transformers 4,5 and 6 movies just in Star Wars. by that I mean trash movies. And why do they keep making Transformers? because they bring in money and money is all they care about.
no more plotholes then the OT.

Some people like them? These are the most successful star wars films of all time.

Oh please...critics are all bought and paid for. Rotten Tomatoes is a joke. Then you got those YouTube leeches, that will talk about these movies (and mostly positive, because they sheep and shills),just to get clicks and views, because otherwise they don't get views. Then you got the Captain Marvel thing, where Disney or Marvel is buying tickets for their own movies, just to make them APPEAR more profitable than they are, but then when it actually comes to toy sales and merchandise it doesn't sell. Captain Marvel their "most succesful" hero, yet they rebooting their comic for...what now 7th time? I lost count.

Back to SW....please you can't even compare OT with this turd trilogy. Rey beats Kylo 2x in less than 10h with 0 training. Finn holds his own vs Kylo. Then people make excuse, how Kylo didn't finish his training. Then when you point out Rey has 0 training, they make comic, saying she DOWNLOADED all knowledge from Kylo, when he interrogated her...then HOW THE F IS HE SO WEAK ?

That whole space chase in episode VIII....it's a good thing they know what inertia is. Oh wait they don't, because then the fuel thing wouldn't be a problem. That whole Holdo sacrifice fiasco. Like why didn't they do this with first ship that lost fuel. Because answer would be,that either that 60km+ Snkoe ship or ALL THOSE DESSTROYERS in background would blow it up the second it started turning.

Finn and Rose adventure...where Finn's friends in trouble, about to die..but when he gets to Casino, he thinks of gambling....Poe that should be dead in episode VII,but they liked actor and then somehow he's back later in movie...Leia Supermaning, because why not....episode VII not even bothering to follow episode VII.

Phasma joke. Can't even edit scene around her. She stands next to Finn. Gets knocked down from blast, then comes out with rifle in her hands and 4-5 troopers with her throguh some door....great continuity.

Leia ignoring Chewie, when Han dies and hugs Rey.

THE WORST LIGHTSABERS DUELS EVER. Episode VII were horrible, but damn did episode VIII take that #1 spot.

Luke and Rey at end of episode VII looking at each other...camera zooming out and spinning around...episode VIII,she walks up to him...hands him lightsaber and he throws it away. Great continuity. Luke gonna gave Rey 3 lessons, but we only see 2. You gotta pay for that 3rd, because let's hold back content like it's a game. But if you smart, you find it on internet.

Like I said...Star Wars is the new Transformers franchise. No matter, how bad, people will go see it.

Oh and episode VIII had biggest drop from sequel to sequel in history. And again they can't sell toys and merchandise, where real money is for them. And let's bring back original cast back and **** all over them, because no one cares about new characters, because they ****.

if all of that is true... then you will never see another star wars movie that you enjoy. Disney has more money then god and will keep buying off critics and people will keep seeing the movies.

So far the only Star Wars movie that has "failed" is Solo the only movie with a straight white male lead. Guess what that means for all future star wars movies? They will be more of TLJ. Especially since the success of Ms Marvel.

Sorry kid but this is star wars and your opinion doesn't matter to Disney or Star Wars anymore.

The public has spoken and the ST is what the world wants.

edit: Yeah toy sales are down for EVERY franchise even Marvel. Kids aren't buying toys anymore its all digital now.

Yeah... comics reboot... you clearly have never read a comic. Every superhero has been rebooted several times. It's a right of passage. Captain Marvel isn't even the first Captian Marvel and isnt' even the first female captain Marvel. Thor himself was rebooted several times. Hell in the 80s Thor was just a title and not an actual person.

You can hate on it as much as you want but you are just an old man yelling at clouds

The new movies are indeed Lesser; lesser compared to the "Core Movies" but nevertheless they'll make money, that's why Disney wanted and payed so much for them. They're guaranteed to make money due to the Popularity the "Core Movies" created and people simply flocking to whatever is "Hyped" by the Media and other Flashy Gossip. When even the first line actors are talking bad about the director(s), story line and set environment (relations) it cant be good. They are "Star Wars" no doubt there but they're not the high point at all (Just a money machine built to work on hype and popularity other people created).

Yeah I know comics reboot. But I am talking about, how Captain Marvel nowdays...it's being rebooted nonstop.

And yes "clearly I never read a comic "It's so obvious, isn't it?

Solo and Rogue One are far superior movies compared to TLJ: And Solo didn't fail, because of straight white male lead, but you go on ahead and think that.

Oh ok..."the public has spoken"....have your turd trilogy.

Bye Felicia with purple hair

yeah.. this is all anyone needs to know about you.

and yes I will enjoy the ST as will millions of others seeing as again it's the most popular star wars trilogy in history. Hate as much as you want this is Star Wars and this is how it is.

psst also I didn't say Solo failed because it had a straight white protagonist. I said if what you said is true ie all the dumb conspiracy theory crap about buying tickets and paying off reviewers then that is why it failed.

Solo failed because it was a han solo film with out Harrison Ford. No one cares about the character han Solo except for fan boys who were the ones who went and saw it. The general audience only wants to see Harrison Ford be a space smugler.
