Who are we?

 

PC Gamer Mint Imperials are always recruiting, but with 2.0 on the horizon we would like to actively advertise ourselves. We are the official Imperial guild for the PC Gamer Magazine, and have monthly coverage in the magazine following key achievements and goings on. Our sister guild 'The Revel Alliance' is the magazine's Republic guild.

We have a wide range of players in the guild, casual up to hardcore pve and pvp. At peak times we get 40+ players online. Our recruitment initiative hopes to attract more serious raiders and pvpers into our ranks as we look to form more teams, but we welcome and have a place for everyone.

 

PVE

 

Our progression includes all 8 man content and the majority of 16man, barring Nim EC. We have three current raid teams, a full progression team going in blind to new operations with Warstalker firmly under their belt, another team at 3/4 Nim EC and a new team just starting out on HM progression. Organised open 16man runs happen weekly, and we quickly mobilise as a guild to get new World/Event Bosses down.

We are looking to form 2 new teams as we have players wishing to raid, but due to a lack of tank/healer roles have been unable to get these going. As such we have places for every tank and healer AC, and spots for DPS based on stricter criteria. Our raiding times are usually Thursday/Sunday/Monday 7pm GMT onwards but these are not set in stone as new groups will choose days to suit themselves.

 

PVP

 

Despite being predominately a PvE/social guild, all PvPers are welcome. We have a number of active pvpers within the guild, and we have 7 strong PVPers ready to get into ranked. We would like to directly recruit a Juggernaught tank or an Engineering Sniper at optimised WH level. Tuesdays are our current assigned day for ranked pvp from 7pm GMT.

 

Other

Finally we have a great crafting and schematic base within the guild. Due to our quick raiding progression we are often server first to get schematics (esp Barrel/Hilt) and have a good reputation on the server for crafting.

 

We have also had two guild meetups in London so far, one to the recent Cantina Tour. We will have more in the future to attend.

 

tl;dr

Whatever you want to do with your time in SWTOR, we have a place for you. At this time we want to increase our intake of serious raiders and pvpers in preperation for 2.0 and have spots waiting to form new pve teams, and one spot unfilled for an ambitious ranked team.

Quick update:

 

Very good response so far. PVP ranked position filled currently.

Great pve applications, we now need only a couple of roles for two new ops teams.

 

Progression team (TFB HM+): Tank, Healer and DPS required. For dedicated raiders who want to progress to hardest content in 2.0. Good class skill and understanding of gear etc will be looked at. Raid times yet undecided. More availability the better.

 

Startup team (Tier 1 NiM+): DPS required. For newer players, or players with not much operation experience. Still wanting to progress through the content and gear in 2.0. Thursday/Sunday/Monday 7pm GMT are raid times, must be able to make these times. 2/3 days possible.

8 Man Progression Raid Team 'Ootini' is looking for 1 NiM ready dps. Preferably Marauder. All new content is learned and completed without guides and to the best of our ability. When schematics are profitable we share profits learned from our raids. Our raid days are not set in stone but we prefer Thurs/Sun/Mon 7pm UK time -11pm. Sometimes we end up with a Friday/Saturday raid if we cannot make the other days. This team has been around since launch.

53minute EC NiM clear (pre 2.0)

We have attempted Dreadful Entity with Team Krayt Dragon in the past and got it to ~20%. Attempts have been held off due to new content. A second attempt is being planned for the new year.

 

 

A little bit about us and why you want to join us:

We were the first team in our guild to kill the first 3 bosses of Dread Fortress HM shortly after it came out (no runs in SM or reading up on tactics), however we hit a speed bump when a couple of our members had to deal with some real life issues, forcing us to cancel raid nights or do alt runs. Our Juggernaut tank recently left us as he found he didn't have much time left to play. This means you'll be tanking with me. Fun times.

 

We are all strong players and we do tend to have a laugh during raids and insult each other lightheartedly (especially our Derprauders and our Sorc healer who very talented at being a douche with Extrication). Wipes are guaranteed, as are lewd links in Mumble and a constant barrage of insults aimed at the aforementioned from our Operative healer (who occasionally pulls the boss before we're ready, the scamp).

 

When it comes to tactics, we generally make them up as we go (I like to make diagrams in paint ). Our tactics are usually subject to questioning when viewed by an outsider, however it works for us to the point we can derp through bosses once we've cleared them and in some cases has helped us clear bosses before other groups using "standard tactics".

Approximately 1-2 weeks after these videos, some members have switched characters/specs:

Nydra (Jugg Tank) -> Symi (Assassin Tank)

and we have refined our tactics so we can oneshot everything previously cleared giving us more time on things we haven't killed yet.

With a lull in actual progression until new NIMs come out this seems like the perfect time to nurture a new HM+ raid team into existence. If you are interested please read on. If you aren't interested in progression raiding but still would like to join us please apply, we welcome everyone.

 

How does PCG do raiding?

The way we run progression raids in this guild is to have teams of set 8 players who work together to achieve their goals. We have found this to be extremely effective. Currently we have 4 raid teams: Ootini, Dikutla, Knightfall and Krayt Dragon. They all have great success with progression from HMs(weekly farms in one night) to NIMs(timed clears). We are going to form a 5th team to offer this raiding experience to new members.

 

How do you form teams?

I have created two teams from scratch in the past and have a process. Team Krayt Dragon is my success story; they are now farming HMs and working on NIM progression. However it takes time to get to this stage and many player changes will happen as we work towards a strong team that works well together.

 

What will be expected of you as a raider?

- Reliability. This is very important. You will have set raid days and times and you will show up! If you can't you let your raid leader know with as much time as possible.

- Know your class. You will put time and effort into understanding your class, specs, how to gear and your role.

- Communication. In and outside of raids. We use mumble and these forums.

- Use the website. Events will be made and you are expected to sign up to them so everyone knows you are coming.

- Enthusiasm!

- Patience. Wipe stamina is important, and patience with other players to learn mechanics too. Also, this will take time to form.

 

How do I apply for the new team?

Please make an application on our website here and we will sort you out from there. If you have questions beforehand please just ask me.

 

When/how will we get started?

Once we have 3-4 suitable applicants we can start. Myself, other officers and guildmembers will fill in the other spots on geared alts. We are a large enough guild to do this. Our hope and goal is that with each week there are less of us and more of the new team. This will not be a quick process but over time we will be left with 8 new players raiding together who know each other and function as a team.

Raiding times are between 7pm and 11pm GMT. Normally we do 7-10.30 ish, but it is up to the group. Could start later and end at 11 or whatever, but between those times.

 

The days (and number of days) will basically be up to the group and who can do what. Normally a raid team does 2-3 days a week.

 

These days are usually Thursday, Sunday and Monday. I would quite like to have this new team on days OTHER than that so we have a bit of crossover for substitutes between teams.

NOTE: We have had a LOT of interest for our new raid team. (50+applicants in February). As such are trying to form two. We are dealing with and organising this into our structures currently. If you apply please take into account we are sorting through a lot of people at the moment! Recruitment is still open, we could really do with some good Tanks!

Currently one of our new raid teams needs a Tank capable of and looking for NIM content. The team is 2 weeks old and has the current achievements:

DF & DP HM clears in total 3 hours (1 evening)

Nefra 16 man HM (with 8)

The team is looking to finish TFB NIM, do SV NIM, timed runs, and new NIM progression.

Raid Team Ootini in PCG is now looking for a NiM-Ready Healer (Merc/Sorc).

 

We have been around since launch and have cleared all 8-man content (From Beyond & Dragonslayer) and we're looking forward to Dread Fortress NiM (we popped on the PTS a few times as well).

 

We are looking for someone who knows their class and are generally available since we have varying raid days every week but usually manage 3 days a week during progression (7PM GMT - 10:30PM GMT usually). We are a solid raiding team that likes progressing through new content at pace but we're not super hard-core and don't look for world/server firsts.

 

We like having a laugh but also to be focused while making our way through new content and we occasionally team up with other raid teams to tackle 16m content.

Still high demand for good dps to fill spots in our established teams, and also in a new team we are making!

 

Established teams have DF/DP HM Farm, have done TFB NIM and are starting SV and DF NIM, but you don't have to have done this content to apply.

 

New team is working through DF and DP HM atm - the perfect opportunity for someone wishing to learn and to progress from an earlier starting point.

Hi I've applied to the guild via website but heard nothing back

Team Krayt Dragon are looking to recruit a nightmare ready tank (any class, but Juggernaut is first choice) to continue with our progression.

 

We raid Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday nights. We are not a hardcore group, like to progress at a steady pace, and also enjoy having a laugh as much as killing boss's. We have cleared TFB NiM (plus timed run), 5/7 SV NiM, 4/5 DF NiM (on farm, pre nerf) and looking to continue with Dread Palace NiM.

 

Alternatively, we could bring in a either a Merc or Sniper dps to fill our position, you would have to be well geared and experienced in your class.
