Have you ever raid healed in any MMO?

I'd suggest turning on Ops frames for parties. Then you can resize them and move them wherever you want. That's what i did and it pretty much solves your issue.

I'll be a healer no matter what. I like the responsibility that comes with it.

Instead of just whining, maybe you could come up with some ideas on how to fix it?

You can change the position of the party-frames to where the action is...

Make raid frames enabled for groups. Put your Text over the health bars. Move the health bars closer to the center of the screen so you dont need to look to your left all the time.

 

Now you dont need to use Party frames and look at the left of your screen all the time.

i hate to break it to yah... but thats basically what a healers life in ANY MMO is like... especailly so in games where there isnt a dedicated healer class.

The OP isn't a healer then .....My GF is our main priest in WoW, and though we're not burning down server/world firsts, we're no slouches either.... all she gets to look at are raid frames during an encounter....

So healing is broken because you have to look at bars the whole time? How is this different from any other MMO?

In EverQuest I sat, facing a wall, with my spellbook open, only casting one or two healing spells every now and again, for hours at a time.

 

THIS is not broken. THIS is a god send compared to that.

I haven't been able to check yet, but you used to be able to unlock the raid frames and move them. Won't solve all your problems, but won't have to stare at the left side of your screen.

My wife used to raid heal in WoW. She never knew what was going on because all she did was watch health bars and occasionally move out of bad stuff. Comes with the role.

As long as their spells restore health, true healers will find a way to keep the raid alive. Well... the members of the raid we like that is.

I guess you don't play with Nameplates on. That show people's health hovering over their character so you don't have to stare at party frames or operation frames.

 

Keep raging. One less incompetent healer I have to deal with when I am crazy enough to PUG.

I assume you are a former healbot or bartender user from wow. Enjoy not having easy mode addons. Also turn on raid frames unlock them and put them anywhere you want , you also have the option to resize them to. Good luck and enjoy learning healing the proper way.

I'd like mousovers at least, but even I, whos not played the game yet know you can show party frames as raid frames and move and resize them....look through options menus.
