Why not make legacy names our only definitive name? That way you could just name your character what you like so long as it was on your legacy That would be better than the current system in many ways, but the game was originally designed with unique character names and no requirement that legacy names be unique. Reversing that requirement now would likely require significant re-working of parts of the game's code as well as many renamed legacies. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

They should have left legacy unique, but allowed the character name to be re-usable once per legacy. Now that they added spaces to names, it might help a little bit.
