Merc VS Assassin

Merc VS Jugg (i'm guessing Jugg wins easily here)

Assuming both were absolutely the best they could be, spec would probably be the biggest decider.

 

Deception's low slash is one hell of a pain for mercs in the right hands. Particularly if the sin can pillar hump.

I think merc can win pt, mara, lethality operative and other merc. Other pvp specs will beat him up in 1v1

All things equal I think it really comes down to who get the first drop on whom.

 

Merc / Mandos really need to be able to get their first licks in from a distance. The arsenal / gunnery classes initial attack takes about 1.5 seconds to cast (depending on alacrity). And that heat signature (Merc) is what a number of their following attacks is based on. No heat signature = less damage.

 

If a melee or sniper gets the first drop on you, it kind of throws the rotation off for the Merc / Mando. I am not going to say that they can't get the inititive back, but too many classes have secondary abilities to get right back on you. You just have to hope that your crits hit hard or you will probably be taking a dirt nap.

That depends, if there is enough space to kite properly and you time ur cds perfectly I think merc/mando got a good chance against both sins & juggs.

Warriors seem to be the most trouble for me but any inquisitor goes down fast. I don't know why but kiting Assassins seems really straightforward.
