Since I'm a stubborn cookie, I wanne make my Vanguard a DPS for end-game content, but... well... I need help !

What skill point distribution would you recommend for this role ?

And what skill rotation ? (the answer is ofcouse ''depends on the boss, but still, I need some basic rotation)

Both top skills of the DPS trees seem very average to me, so I'm not sure a x-31-x or a x-x-31 build would be recommended.
