Since the only way for either side to complete its dailies is to work together (kinda of bad design there) i know a few pubs after we flip them enough for everyone sometimes we part with a duel to death so at least we did some PvP. Hardest class to kill 1v1 when tank specced is commando healers (heavy armor and heals without the deception burst is annoying). When DPS specced the ones I have the hardest time with are DPS commandos (heavy armor significant DPS and CC). In a 1v1 fight with no distractions and terrain disadvantages a well played commando has no excuse to lose a 1v1 with the amount of CC/snares and damage at their disposal. Between their short cd aoe kb with snare component and their hard CC, armor that mitigates a good chunck of our damage, good dps, and limited healing capabilities if they are whining about having to deal with melee they should reroll melee and then think hard as to why they are having problems. Astarica Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 Fight against Commando pretty much always goes like this: You get them to 50% They use Advanced Kolto Pack You use Jolt They use Kolto Pack If you interrupt this, Electrocute and then you win Otherwise he heals back up to 80% and you die Force Speed counters their KB assuming you speced it so that it breaks movement impairing effect However, interrupting the second heal is very difficult because the second heal is very fast, and your Jolt is going to be on cooldown. In theory you got 3 other ways to stop it (KB, long stun, short stun) but they're likely to have their CC breaks ready too, and KB can be a double-edged sword. They might even have a full resolve bar since they could have got hit by other people's CC while mid fight even if it's in theory a 1 on 1. With a Deception build, pretty much anyone will faceroll you. darkness and full champion, u can get KOed in 1 stun and 5-6 shots from your neighbourhood friendly smuggler or sniper if theyre equally geared. Commandos and BH take JUST a bit longer to kill you. Assassins have no healing "ability", they heal only if they hit you with a saber and thats broken and does not work correctly right now because its minuscule (it makes a difference in a 1 minute fight but worthless under 20-30 seconds). We have no bubbles so there goes that. Oh yeah, also no heavy armor. The assassin tank is, at this point in time, at the bottom of the tank pile. Any other one with heavy armor should fare better. Count in the fact that tank defenses are broken and only mitigate weapon damage which is about 30-40% of the battle, well, might as well roll in dps gear, which is what asstanks are doing. Guardians/juggs have abilities that reduce 25% damage from yellow damage, 50% from white damage (saberward). They also have other abilities that greatly mitigate damage iirc, and unlike our mitigation it isn't broken. With a Deception build, pretty much anyone will faceroll you. Wrong. There is so much wrong with defenses in this game that the extra Darkness mitigation isn't worth the loss of damage. A well-geared deception assassin who actually knows how to use his cooldowns and abilities can kill nearly anyone 1v1. Vanguards and Shield Tech BHs being the toughest fight. Healers are easy enough to interrupt as a full Deception spec since we have a multitude of interrupts/stuns. Mercs are pretty easy kills IMO. I always focus ranged classes and healers in WZs.
