So I've been having this problem for awhile and have done everything I could've possibly done. So I'm able to launch the game fine but then it takes me to the server selection and when I click on mine(Satele Shan) it just says "a connection error has occurred" and I've done everything from firewall, administrator, rebooting pc, uninstalling and anti virus but nothing seems to fix it. Odd enough when I was at college the game worked just fine now I'm back home and I can't get into the game, some help would be appreciated, thank you.

Well, since you didn't bother to mention what you've tried already ("everything" is kinda vague), we need to start at the beginning with the obvious first thing. Have you checked that there isn't any firewall or anti-virus that is blocking SWTOR (in either your computer, or your router)?

The easiest way to check that is to disable them temporarily. If it then works, you can go back to trying to find out which or what firewall or setting is causing the problem.

 

Next thing to do is to contact your ISP and make sure they are not blocking parts of SWTOR because their software detects SWTOR as a torrent, or some other unwanted app.
