Sick of getting in Pub vs Pub or Imp vs Imp battles where either side has 5+ F2P players and the other is decked out with 5 ship players, so from this day till its fixed Im going to self destruct in team deathmatch.

... grats on being a dick to your team? Just leave the match if you don't like the matchup/gameplay mode/whatever.

Well, that will make a statement. Once the devs see your self-destruct numbers, they'll surely focus on improving the matchmaking.

Please give me your toons' names so I know what I'm getting into when I see you in a match.

But seriously - you're on JC, right? I think our problem (can't speak for other servers) is largely population size. Or lack thereof. When the pool of players is fairly small, and some are grouping, the matchmaking system simply can't spit out equitable matchups...the necessary pool of players just isn't there. I agree that such games can be incredibly frustrating, but in my experience, it tends to even out. I've had as many one-sided roflstomps go in my favor as I've had go against me. More or less. And lots of good, reasonable matchups too. Especially recently. YMMV.

By actively participating in ruining your team's score you're just making the match even more lopsided than it originally was. As a side note, having two ships on your lineup does not automatically make you a bad or inexperienced player.

Again, if you don't like matchups and don't wish to participate, leaving is a better option than butchering your team's ability to compete at all. Your chain of self destructs probably won't mean a damn thing to BioWare. I'm sure they're aware of how much we all hate matchmaking (or lack thereof) by now, but there isn't going to be a real fix coming any time soon - your show is pointless and does nothing but hurt the server you're on.

Suicide is NOT the answer (ever)!

Roll on another server (you can play GSF at level 1!)

AND...

PLUG FOR CROSS WORLD GSF! I'd buy cartel coins to support the effort

Maybe they can take cartel coin casino proceeds and build the infrastructure \o/

There's a cross server GSF?
So I'll be seeing 100 gunships gunning me down from other server away?

I am not for the Empire. I am not for the Republic. I am for the credits and the fame.

You'd see the same thing if it were Alex, Tsukuyomi and I shooting you down... Well, we'd look like 100 gunships but it'd just be us

Seriously though, this isn't the way to solve the problem. Roll on a new server if matchmaking is the issue. Bastion, Harbinger, TEH all have a multitude of players who will provide you with competitive games no matter your side. You'll still get steamrolled playing by yourself though, so grab a friend and group!

Self-destructing is pretty dumb, but I did learn something new from this thread!

I just assumed that there wasn't any semblance of a matchmaking system in place to begin with. On one server, my team always wins, unless a certain 5 or 6 people on the other team are online, in which case they always win (I've only been playing for a week or so, but this is the case without exception - I've only seen about 30 people total playing). On another server, I just stopped playing altogether after queuing up for seven or eight matches where my team was comprised of people with only stock fighers and scouts against 12 people with five ships available (at least those matches were over quickly at 0-50 or 3-1000).

So.. there's a matchmaking system huh? Neat. Did BioWare give any money to the guy who built it? I feel like they've been had

Seriously, how does it work? This kinda blows my mind, because I can't imagine how the matches could get any more lopsided with no system at all.
