If you could do anything.

Right now you are limited by the possibilities of the game. The number of dialogue choices, and the possible decisions. Though you got some options they are still limited in some way.

So question is: what if they weren't? If you could write in any dialogue, or action options for any quests, then what would you change?

For one example i would give option for many dialogues to be skipped by starting the fight right away.

Example1: Guys at the vault on Taris in Smuggler's storyline. It's obvious who they are, what they came for, and that combat is likely inevitable. So instead of giving a nice introduction. I would start it by shooting them in the head.

Example 2: When you first fight Arcann. The moment i saw that guy it was obvious, that something doesn't add up. So sneak on, weapon in hand, and instead of talking to Arcann i just shoot him in the head. Or try at least.

Another part is when i get into the wilds with Darth Marr, and Satelee. I would skip that entirely saying, that i don't trust Valkorion, and go for the mission right away. Might even blast Vaylen, and Arcann into space with their own fleet.

The list would go on, but one more is that i would try. Is to give back the Geminis' free will. Maybe it's just the Stellaris's influence, but in my Empire. Your freedom is granted, because you are intelligent enough to have it. And will be taken, because you use that intelligence against my laws. In my point the Gemini's are enslaved, and while granting them freedom is not easy. At least i would try.

During the Second attack on Odessen ... I would have switched sides ... so I could fight with Vaylin against the Alliance. :D

Would have been interesting, if you could try at least. Though Vaylin would have refused it. She wants Valkorion dead more than anything, and she believes, that by killing you she is one step closer to that goal. Though if you could convince her, that you have the same goal. Like asking your companions to tell what you think about Valkorion, what he has done to them. Convince her, that you hate him as much as she does.

In the cut content Vaylin comes to realise Valkorion has been duping everyone and sounds like she does back down. (or at least that's how I recall it when I heard it.) so I wouldn't say it's impossible to team up ... then if you do super DS stuff with her she may have a change of heart.

In the last mission she also sides with you against Valkorion when you fight with him in your head. I'm not sure, if she is interested in ruling at all. She seems to be more like obsessed in killing her parents.

If it were up to me:

At some point you must kill Senya, and Arcann.

Lord Scourge appears after that decision. Maybe replacing Arcann during Vaylin's party. You must accept Lord Scourge's offer to join, if you want Vaylin later.

You must gather all holos in the bonus objective on Nathema.

Right before you face Vaylin on Odesen you could start telling all the atrocities Valkorion did, and claiming, that you are more than willing to work with her to defeat him. You would take on her pride in her power. Stating, that with her raw power, and your knowledge you could get rid of Valkorion once and for all.

She would tell, that you know nothing about her, and you would reveal, that you know everything from the holos on Nathema.

Then she asks why she shouldn't just kill you. You need Lord Scourge to confirm, that simply killing you wouldn't help. Valkorion would just get a new body.

Vaylin puts away her saber, and agrees to join forces to kill Valkorion. At this point Valkorion panics, and knock you out to take over your body. Lord Scourge, and Vaylin uses the artifact to help you inside your mind. After Valkorion's death, and you awake Lana tells you, that Vaylin left. Nobody had the courage to stop her leaving, but she left behind a message. The message is a confession of Vaylin's. She tells, that she never wanted to rule. All she wanted is to take revenge on her parents, and now, that her revenge is complete she isn't sure what to do next. For now she just wants to be alone to think, and travel the galaxy as a free woman without the bindings of the ruling, and the Throne.

You would lose Senya, and Arcann, but save the companion Vaylin would kill, and get Lord Scourge. Also Vaylin would get some other stuff in later content. For those who killed Vaylin she would be replaced by Lord Scourge.

Actually ... If I can do anything ... I would rewrite the entirety of KOTFE/ET/FA ... so each class has their own experiences with the war against Zakuul. Darth Marr and or Satele would take up the role of the 'Outlander' while the characters would take on the role of advisors.

Now that would be something i don't remember ever having in RPG games. Usually it's one of these:

You are the ruiler, but your advisors, and allies tell everything to do.

You are just a small person, and thel leaders/ruler give you tasks.

In rare cases:

You do what you want.

Now having someone else as ruler, and actively giving advice in a semi-strategic game would be awesome, but not MMO compatible. In MMO you share the place with all players, and by making different decisions each player would end up in a different phase. Turning the whole stuff into an Co-RPG style like Guild Wars 1 was. Though i think i would still like it. Strange how rare to have a strategy+RPG mixed game. Such as some Sid Meier's Pirates, Godfather 2, and Mount & Blade.

There are quite a few points in the game where I feel like a third, very obvious, choice would be warranted. It's rare that we get more than two, which are usually light/dark side alligned. I'd also like to see more choices that don't necessarily result in a specific moral allignment.

The best example I can think of is Trooper mission on Coruscant. You get the choice to obey Garza and kill suspected cyborgs or don't and release them. In this instance I don't understand why the 'borgs can't just be left and some specialists called to investigate the claim about their implants.

There are a couple of times in the game where I feel like two choices don't cut it, and they aren't necessarily major story choices either.

For SIs only: in the second chapter of KOTFE, while Valkorion is criticizing your crew, I'd like a panned shot behind him to show your remaining ghosts gathered there to make insulting critiques about your newest passenger. I bet Horak-Mul would have some choice words for the occasion.

During the Marr / Satele chapter, I'd like the option to argue that they're Dark side hallucinations created by Valkorion to manipulate me. Then I'd ditch them, and wander around solving the rest of the chapter without their crappy advice.

At the end of Kaliyo's chapter, I'd like the option to shop Kaliyo to the overwatch commander in exchange for the spire codes. Right where he says something like 'Even you, outlander, deserve better', I'd take that opportunity to agree and backstab Kaliyo. It'd be very fitting, albeit out of character for the overwatch guy to actually keep the bargain.

Every chapter in Kotfeet which contains an oppressive/inspiring speech: I'd add a neutral, class-specific option, just like the project eclipse space radio quest on NS.

For the Vette/Torian choice, I'd like a DS option to pick neither, have them both got killed, but have the advantage of catching Vaylin by surprise and making that fight a bit easier.

Again, for SIs only, when you fight Vaylin and Valkorion inside your brain, I'd like the ghosts to show up but not do anything except taunt everyone [including the PC] during that entire fight.

At the end of KOTET, I'd like a neutral option to ditch Wild Space forever, retrieve my comps and my ship, and leave this freakshow behind for Lana and Theron to figure out.

At the beginning of Ossus, when Lana [for the third time in as many updates] asks which side I want to support, I'd like some snarky options, like asking her if she has short-term memory loss, or to give Lana the option to say something like 'Seriously, make up your mind already!' if I chose the imps on Nathema and the pubs on Ossus, or vice-versa.

I would add an option to make it possible to save Vette/Torian at this point the "Commander" should be supper powerful as a Force user or force sensitive enough (if character is another class) to know what to expect and plan out.

Heck as a force user I would add the option to use our power to resurrect them... just to shut Vaylin up.

Or better yet save Vaylin and add her as a romance companion...after absorving her power we cure her of her madness or something similar to that...

Beyond that... I would make Thexan the mastermind of this whole Empire vs Republic conflict and why we lost all our super weapons...after all if Malgus was brought back to life anyone can at this point... even Thexan. Thought I would make Thexan be a victim of Valkorian fail attempt to essence transfer with fighting the "Outlander". Still will make the cinematics of Thexan's fight with the outlander extreamly epic in the class of sabers or blaster... show how powerful and experience the "Commander" has gotten over the years.

After that I like to go to Mortis and meet the 3 Gods and even Abeloth in a great epic story that leads us to go to us going to "The world between worlds" in that place once uncover the STWOR team can go nuts and creat all sorts of stories since its a place where time docent exist (meaning replay or replay choices can be possible lol)

Malgus would join as a pennant companion as my personal "Eternal Alliance Wrath" since we "The Commander" built the "Eternal Alliance" that he fought and died to create on the Sith Empire.

BUT if I could really do anything: From there I would make Zakuul/Iokath starting zones, Zakuulan's a new playable race and introduce the new class "Zakuul Knight" divided in Exarch (Tank) Scion (Healer) and Zelot (DPS). Weapons would be Sabe Pike and Shield, Saber and Blaster or a Lightsaber Blaster Hybrid, Saber Cane, collapsible hilts Doble lightsaber, Lightsaber Club/Long Handle Lightsaber, Lightsaber Tonfas,Double Bladed Spinable Lightsabers orLightwhip.

  • Class story and Time will be before "The events of the Outlander" in were you discover you are Iokath Old Gods Dark Messiah of Revenge against Valkorian (The Demon Savior who destroy the old gods), a bio organic hybrid weapon made to look like a Zakulaan or any other race you chose, (this will have a big impression and a source of irritation for SCORPIO but also a rare opportunity to romance her). However The Emperor discovers this and tries to turn you into his next new host.

This would re-use created content with a few big and minor alteration to story cinematic and dialog. Introduce a few new companions mix with the old already introduce in previous expansion. I like to have is a Droid with Iokath Tech that has 4 arms that uses sabers and blasters created to help train you and be a bodyguard. (Love if it kinda look like General Grievous) Alos a non-humanoid animal companion like does in the Cartel Store with its unique way of dps/tanking/healing so its retains its uniqueness from other beast sold there. The only difference is that you race it as a pet, that becomes a companion and later becomes your own mount as the story continues to progress!

  • The class and the planets story connects to the events of the "The Outlander" changing the story and making you the True Eternal Emperor and Commandeer of the Alliance, being able to save most if not all the Royal Family from the machinations of Valkorian and even romance them all including Vitiate. lol

  • From there my next project is to introduce class story in the current story line and make companions feel more unique and valuable specially if I'm going to have my fans and loyal players farm PvP point and other nonsense to unlock them. I would try to make them like Malgus... he was able to perform all roles however he had his unique animation and clear disadvantages or advantages in switching them up...not like the copy/paste companions abilities that most have right now. Add the many companions added as promotion for does who are interested to have them by purchase them in the Cartel shop since they don't impact the story or at least for what I seen. Even try to add a soloble content where you can do operation/flash points or even Heroics with your accumulated army companions...since many would be re-work to perform certain roles more efficiently than others. Obviously "Influence Levels" will have a big impact on that too...also this content would be very story driven and not as good for gearing or getting rewards as you teaming up with players. I would take inspiration from the fight of Revan final fight...where every companion and Npc perform its part in the group.

  • I try to create a separation from class story chapters, planet story chapters, expansion story chapters and special story chapter that can be purchase in the cartel shop, if you miss that month sub special reward.

To do this in a refine manner I use the legacy system, Command XP and the Dark/Light alignment system. Introduce a Story with full chapters that lead into Mortis where you meet the 3 Gods and even Abeloth that leads us going to "The world between worlds" from there I would use the old class Stories re-told from a "outsider" perspective and have the main character of the Legacy system affect directly the story of all my characters tied to that legacy. As a Plus side and if possible turn does legacy characters into "Original Player Companions" using the data of the existing characters using the best rotation of abilities of their class and specs to fill the roles of tank/healer/dps so it feels special to the player.
The story leads to the Father asking you to chose to help either the Son or the Daughter in an effort to stop Abeloth from corrupting and destroying "The world between worlds" that would destroy reality as we know it...
This would be a recurring event as Aboloth is not an entities that can be permanently defeated...you gain not only your own legacy characters as companions but as you invest Light/Dark side tokens to gain influence with both the Son and Daughter you also will gain their avatars that will act as romance companions that can change into personal "combat" mount, as they have teir best forms from as the lore says (they keep their attacks as mount, but you can still get dismounted if receiving enough dmg like any other mount). The SWTOR Team can use this as a recurring event after you play through the main story, from there having access to "The world between worlds" the events can vary...from helping the Valkorian or the Dread Master to assist Revan to be successful in his past conquests that leads him to be betrayed and free, in other words help their own stories as the reach where they are defeated or redeem to a soloble operation and other content with its own sort story as you help things move along so history is not corrupted or destroy by the influence of Aboloth...
Possibilities would be endless even having a young Valkorion (Before being posses or even after he does have already nice abilities or even in a time he was Sith!), Vaylin or even Thexan among others as a Companion who are now out of history yet Aboloth use her powers to corrupt and pluck them outside of it for her own ends. In the end of the story you help the Father, Daughter and Son seal her away...however the event come as her prison weakens and you must again help the 3 Gods preserve balance.
I would add an interface taking inspiration from the design of "The world between worlds" in the episode rebels to create a nice new Chapter Area window, where you are able to romance and re-romance or break up or romance everyone with fun outcomes and even some achievements as well as add all the playable content story available for solo, group, to operations for all players and great rewards for teaming up similar to like Ossus quest motivating team ups that help gear up players etc...minus the bugs...lol

  • I add a weapon appearance tap to your tab cosmetics limited by the class weapon however opening up the option for more customization and think of new way to improve cosmetics like, adding more body shapes, cosmetics to body like stripes (if your Cathar or other race that has them on their face), tattoos or scars and Stature.

  • But probably add all of this in an expansion and free for subscribers...sigh*** I can only dream but you did ask!

LOL sorry you did say if I COULD DO ANYTHING and my mind just blew up with ideas that most I made up as I wrote all this down!! But these have been in my head ever since I return to play. :D

i would do independant class stories. Since all 8 classes end up frozen in carbonite. when lana get your character out the other 7 are still there. For the force users i would keep the story the same. For rep trooper and bounty hunter i would do parallel stories about zakuul's invasion. Yout main villain would be an exarch. And you would be strategizing and fighting during the 1st 6 months our force users are in carbonite. You would have uprisings style short fps called invasions in which 4 players could group up based on alignment which could lead to cross play and they would stop an invading force lead by a zakuul knight captain. they would take place on several neutral planets with lana and theron coordinating the initiative from respective sides. This would lead into 2 final flash points similar to those on the pre revan expansion except this time it will be the invasion of coruscant and dromund kaas. Last boss would be an exarch prototype, which could summon ephemeris units as adds with different classifications in each wave. once defeating the exarch's you tell jorgan or maco to get the ship ready and they go. Then the twin conquerors appear. Mako says she won't leave the hunter, hunter says i've been in worse scrapes then this. Trooper tells jorgen you gotta survive to protect the republic. Jorgan protests havoc leaves no man behind. Trooper says THAT'S AN ORDER SOLDIER MOVE OUT! then says you're in command now jorgen. you see a cutscene where you are utterly beaten by arcann and thexan. As arcann is going to finish you off thexan proposes to freeze you as a present to valkorion. Last scene is your ending up with the twin conquerors freezing you in carbonite.

The third story would be for agent and smuggler. they would start a bit different from each other to give it an o.g. class story feel. agents get priority message from lana about a disturbance in wild space. smugglers and privateers would get one from theron as a job from the sis. here's a twist for the agent if you chose to stay a double agent in the class story ending your message will come from theron on a personal holo com. that you take in your room. The mission you get is to infiltrate the planet of zakuul and gather information about this emerging threat and its possible connection with the former sith emperor. this story takes place before the invasion of the outlying world by the twin conquerors. the smuggler becomes a contraband importer for high society a zakuulan aristocrat. you first meet indo zal here. you get an apartment on zakuul as your base. you, have missions that take you to from the old world to mid spire you'll have a chance to bet on the eternal championship, as well as enter it. completing the eternal championship will raise your rep with the people of zakuul which makes it easier to get information about the society and its ties to vitiate. as you eventually undertake a mission similar to anarchy in paradise and in attempt to weaken the society by slicing the droid control center if your the agent. The agent battles through with kaliyo but are captured by a prototype exarch and sent to tavor slen for carbonite processing and are delivered to thexan. The agent will go undercover as a herald of zildrog. you will do missions to gain favor with the cult. the story ends with you being setup by the exalted and as you try to escape you companions are all on ship and you're escape is cut off 4 super skytrooper prototypes and a knight captain. you barely survive only to get get force pushed into a pillar by the exalted and handed over to tavor slen. last scene you are frozen in carbonite as tavor presents the slab to texan as a gift. as with these other stories then lana and koth rescue you and take you to the new alliance on odessen that's run by the force wielding commander. then you begin iokath same but you an emissary of the alliance commander with his authority then jedi under siege.

Saw many great stories here lately. Nice. On other forum i wrote it, but i think it's apropiate here as well. If i were truly capable to do anything.

Reboot the smuggler, and bounty hunter story. All their quests would get a reset, but they would get some serious compensation depending on how far they got in main story. Like a super quester token which would grant the following on PVE instance only, and story fps for once. Effect time dependent on how many quest the player did before:

Complete invlunerability.

+1200% out of combat movement speed.

+1000% damage.

-100% loot, xp, command points

The buff can be removed, and re-aplied. Timer is paused when the buff is removed. Does not work on the final planet of the present content, and any group content. It applies to Heroics once/character, and story FPs when the appropiate quest is active. The sole purpose of this token is to be able to rush through all quests.

New classes:

SiS Agent. Paired with Imperial Agent.

Imperial Trooper. Paired with Republic Trooper.

New faction/classes:

Neutral:

Bounty Hunter, Paired with troopers.

Smuggler. Paired with Agents.

Gladiator (based on Bowdaar). Paired with melee force users. (not a force user, but has tools which does similar effect)

Zakuul rogue knight (Based on Senya). Paired with pure force users.

Neutral faction starts on Nar Shadaa, and has their own neutral class story. They can switch between imp/republic spaceport when landing on planet which decide what phase they gona get in. Doing certain quest increase/reduce reputation with the main factions. Going below certain reputation will disable the ability to land on their spaceport, and going above certain reputation will allow to land on their fleet, capital planet, and starter planets (these are unavailable at start).

The Catch: many republic/imperial quests are reputation bound. Mostly those that requires discretion, or has big stake. As an imperial/republic character you instantly capable doing these, but as neutral these are unavaliable until you get enough reputation with chosen faction. While remaining neutral would be possible you wouldn't get more content because of it.

CO-OP/Single player mode:

Entering this mode will remove all non-group member players from the game. Group members would see the leader's instance.

In this mode npcs don't respawn. Ever. Also quests do permanent effect on location. Doing the quests in MP makes the the changes when you go into SP mode. Basically you could see the fruit of your hard work.

Most of these are for KOTFE/KOTET

1. Have the option to exile Arcann, imprison him, or turn him over to one of the factions for a trial. I spared him mostly because it wasn't worth killing his mama, but the kid still needs to own his crimes.

2. Tell Acina and Malcolm that they're both idiots and to argue for a cease fire while we figure out who is setting all three of us up for an obvious trap and make them painfully sorry they tried. Now, the rest can play out with one of them going for that throne and you have to make a snap call on which one you prevent from sitting in the literal hot seat (which acts like a faction choice), but it would be nice to be the adult in the room with both factions insisting on fighting out their grudges when they're both too bloodied to stand.

3. Point out to Lana the painfully obvious; Tharon's background and training are SiS. SiS are a bunch of lunatics prone to going off the reservation and pulling one man infiltration ops that are just as brave as they are destructive.

4. Restore those class companion quests that were planned, but never really panned out.

5. Something silly or a breather like the Citadel DLC from ME3.

These two especially. It was bizarre on Iokath when I suddenly had to side with Acina because the Republic were sort of the aggressors.

At the point where you're faced with that decision, your fleet is disabled *and* you don't know that everyone's chasing the superweapon because of identical information(1) *and* it's pretty clear that neither Acina nor Malcolm is in a mood to listen to that sort of thing.

But yes, some option to at least *try* to play the negotiator / peacemaker would be nice, especially for characters that chose the Galactic Peacemaker option at the end of KotET.

(1) It is, for example, feasible that there are multiple moles inside the Alliance, some working for the Empire, some for the Republic (and hey, why not for the Hutts and the Mandalorians as well?), and the information leaked out to the Imp/Pub forces that way, so each would have its own version of the information. It's not until later that we discover that everybody received exactly the same bundle of information about what turns out to be Tyth and Company.

If I could do anything I would:

1) Get rid of Lana

2) Bring other companions back into the story with regular interactions

3) Have monthly story updates like we did during KotFE

4) The option for your character and love interest to have or adopt a kid :p

As much as I hated KoTFE and Pt 2, I really did like the monthly story updates. I thought that was an awesome idea. I'd like to see them to do that with the coming story line as well.

The kid thing is an interesting touch as well for those so inclined. I think a lot of players would dig that. Good idea.

Have you seen what children look like in this game? Even if I wanted my characters to have children - which sounds like an awful mechanic no matter how they do it - I definitely wouldn't want children that look like anime-like soulless abominations. And that pic is probably the best looking of the bunch; the ones from the gree water plant mission [which i can't find a pic for] legit look like tapping the water line changed them into mutants. If I could do anything, I would add a line where our PC can hypothesize that this is the origin story of cthons. It would work especially well for a consular.

Yeah, the current "children" in the game are just shrunken down adult body type 1s with bigger eyes. Creepy AF! But if I really could have ANYTHING I'd want them to put actual children in the game and not...those things.

These two especially. It was bizarre on Iokath when I suddenly had to side with Acina because the Republic were sort of the aggressors.

I chose Acina so far for multiple reasons.

1. The republic betrayed me. Their true leader tried to kill me, and their official leader is not willing to join forces.

2. The Empire are officially allies.

3. The Empire helped me out on Voss. Which is infinitely more military act for my cause, than the Republic did.

It's like. These bastards are sitting idly while i save their asses, then they expect me to join them over someone who actually did something for my cause? Well hell no. Beside Lana got a point. The Empire are officially allies. If i betray, them, then all other ally will be in doubt. How long will it take until i betray them too?

Though i chose the Republic on the long term effort before Ossus. I still prefer the Republic over the Empire despite their leadership, and because the Empire are clear agsressors there.

Become a Dread Master. I'd keep the OP's where you kill them, but I'd add an alternative single player chapter that culminates with you joining them and like the JC story on Belsavis you'd get 3 choices as to what your Dread Master name would be. Edited by ThePatriarchy

Skip SOR. I am such an original Kotor and TSL fan, that the canon for it bugs the heck out of me. My Revan was Female and my Exile Male, but the WORST part is their absolutely lousy ends. The SOR storyline and the Revan book totally invalidated the thing I love most in all of SW's.

Not to say I don't love Satele and Theron but they should have given Revan and Exile much more than they did.

I just want to say with KOTOR 1/2 I'm the same in regards to my Revan is female and my Exile was male, in my own head canon of course, don't see too many people who have a male Exile.

On topic, I would give all companions a chapter release return like they did earlier on with Kaliyo and Jorgan. I won't write down all my ideas because that'd be pages and pages long but each companion having a good chapter return with a good story, cut scenes, special moments with LI's...so many companions were given a short 1 or 2 minute return which I absolutely hated. Companions who are important to so many people and their characters deserved so much better.
