I don't have much enthusiasm for decorating, so right now, the one Stronghold that I have 100% completion on looks like a junkyard. Once I put down the useful things that I go to a stronghold for (GTN, legacy stronghold, mailbox), I honestly just kept putting random things on hooks to get the damn thing done - consequently my floors are so cluttered with things like desh junk piles and biometric alloy plants that you can't really walk around in them.

 

I'm pretty sure that my "100%" was not literally 100% of the hooks available, so I'm wondering is there a way to get 100% without this amount of clutter? There's only a limited number of floor hooks where you can put things that don't take up space like rugs.

There are more hooks than you need to get to 100% (at least in the strongholds I decorated). Also now with the conquest changes you don't need to get to 100% anymore, since they only count the number of strongholds and unlocked room expansions. If you want more space on the floor, use the wall hooks, change the layout to 8x small and place the small trophy pictures. But again - if you're not into decorating there is no reason to go for 100% anymore. Edited March 24, 2018 by Mongorr

Also you could visit some on your server that is open but you should be prepared there may be some that are still cluttered but you could find some that way as well.

There are also wall and ceiling hooks, where you can put banners, trophies, works of art, lights, and so on. (There were two stereotypical tropes of pre-5.8 strongholds: chairs everywhere and trophies everywhere, although "meat trees" were also popular choices - the meat tree decoration costs one credit from a vendor on Rishi.)
