Hey guys, I’ve been playing for a little over a week now and I’m loving the game. I play solo and try to make the hud as minimalistic as possible. I played my first character and didn’t have any problems. But when I started my second character, I can’t get the chat in the upper left corner to go away. I can make the box disappear by pressing enter, but the yellow text stays up no matter what. It even stays up over the cutscenes. I have all chat turned off, but can’t seem to figure it out. I can get the text to fade away by selecting “chat panel fade” but any time I discover a new area or my companion speaks, then the text pops right back up and takes a ludicrously long time to fade again. With my first character, the chat box is gone for good, but not this new one. Am I missing something? Thanks! Edited April 25, 2019 by JayaLyles

The toggle chat off button is the triangle to the far left of the social centre.

That did it! On my first character I selected that before I disabled the social center on my hud. Thanks a ton!
