Why is your elemental proc relic, have its lowest hit at 231? Its lowest proc should always be the min reported on it (210) because it did not crit 100% of the time.

Since it's elemental, this is not an armor debuff allowing for that extra 21 damage. It makes me suspect that the entire parse is in question honestly, as we have already seen one person edit their log.

Yep, the proc relic takes your stacks of Juyo into effect, so they will proc for more damage.

Agree. The issue is not the classes you've mentioned are gimped, but rather 9/10, Jugg DPS, Snipers, Operative DPS, Sin DPS, Jugg Tanks (and their Rep equivalent) have difficulty performing up to par, hence the general audience's perception overtime that they are weak. This thread by chukles is actually very good by changing that perception by sharing actual parses, and can actually help existing good players improve themselves if they bother to look@ the logs. Yes it is true you need good gear to make it to the top parses. BUT i guarentee you would be able to increase your DPS muchmore by improving your rotation/cast priority, than say getting more dread guard upgrades...

I'm not objecting to the thread, because I think there is some benefit to such a conversation, but I would suggest two improvements:

1. Some sort of gear posting, because while improving my rotation/cast priority can help, the gear makes a difference. If I'm comparing myself (Rakata/BH partially optimized) with someone in full Dread Guard, I may spend a lot of time beating myself up when in reality, I'm on track and doing just fine.

2. Make sure everyone has included talent build. This is being done by some, but not all, and it's extremely important, since my problem may not lie in my rotation/cast priority, but in where I threw those extra points. (e.g. Looking at SmurfandTurf, I notice he's gone 31pts in Pyrotech, which was not what I understood the "standard" DPS build to be. Now, seeing his numbers, I may have to give that a try and see if it improves my performance.)

So, great idea, Chuckles. Let's see if some additional information can make this useful to the hoards of folks who aren't sporting tons of Dread Guard.

I can assure you that I did not modify anything. I'm not completely sure how torparse works, but I believe the parse you provided was a different one with a different build. The build I currently use will increase the damage done from my dots but not have as high damage on other attacks.

 

Regardless, I plan on making a new parse soon with upgraded gear which will be higher than these 2 parses.

Just wanted to point out that PT/Vanguard DPS with Bloodthirst, Armor Debuffs, and adrenals will cap at 2,185 dps (simmed) after 6 minutes. So, without two of those, doubt we're going to see a legit PT/VG parse over 2100.

well, i'll damn sure try..but, i doubt i will get there in 61's. i recently upgraded my WH rifle to reflex27 barrel and 61 PvE mods, as well as reflex27 armor on OH...my DPS went up 100+. i was pleasantly surprised.

i've only been playing this class/spec for a week (just switched from worthless Merc, who is >200 DPS less in the EXACT same gear)), so i plan on improving.

8/8/25 Assault. 9.5m range, no stockstrike used. 61/61/61 (minus belt, 58/58) and 63/61/61 MH/OH.

See, it was the opposite for me during that run. The droid fight went horribly (We were going to try to burn the entire boss in one burn phase), and when we started I'm not quite sure what happened but I overrided the taunt mechanic or it glitched or something. We kept seeing the tank taunt the boss but it didn't do anything. And the pug up on the top apparently forgot how to do the puzzle . I would have had somewhere between 4.5k-5k on that fight if not for our fail pug lol.

So I got into it with my old Guild in general chat, the fact that I use rage in PVE was brought up like it's a bad thing because the internet told him so, like so many others. To cut to the chase I took out my rage on the dummy and got a pretty decent parse, it's the best with rage I've seen and I'm pretty proud of it myself XD.

Some idiot on fleet was saying that I must be bad if I play carnage. So, here is one of my worst parses in Annihilation spec with the wrong gear (96% accuracy, energy proc relic etc). No Anni+Ravage crit at start and rupture refresh, still at 2090 dps. I actually was maintaining 2.1k and some change until I ****ed up a few times counting my rage, its been a while since I really tried to play the spec for pure DPS lol.

That's a nice parse with such a high latency! Usually when my latency is that high (my internet is pretty temperamental lol...) I sit at 2k instead of the 2.1kish numbers.

so was messing around a bit with the ops dummy. Got 1984 dps over 5 mins, same spec 31/3/7 watchman, almost full DG....missing a couple pieces. Definitely screwed up my rotation a couple times, i don't play my sent as much anymore since he's pretty close to having full BiS.....after some practice and a few more parses I may yet return with better numbers

BTW, i enjoy this practise as a training tool for maximizing dps, not an ego thread. Good for starting new characters with an idea of potential and understanding rotations by looking through logs. I prefer looking at these numbers more so then people telling me to L2P and then stating unrealistic numbers with no back up of data etc.....
