With the creation of the new Republic Special Forces, many different military units were created to meet the onslaught of the new Sith Empire. Nexu Company was set up as a first strike unit, capable of bringing the fight to the enemies of the Republic anywhere in the galaxy. The origins of Nexu begin during the Great Galactic War. As Imperial forces pushed the Republic back on the defensive during the early stages of the war, Republic Command saw the need for elite units to take the fight to the Imperials and stage daring assaults to disrupt Imperial advances. Some of the earliest elements of Nexu Company would be used in raids across Imperial controlled sectors, hitting targets of importance with small, elite teams of soldiers. After the Treaty of Coruscant, some of the surviving soldiers would be organized into Nexu Company. With success on many different battlefields, Nexu continued to grow. The Republic granted funding for Nexu Company to set up their own contractors for intelligence gathering, reserve medical staff, and the works. Nexu Company quickly became one of the Republic's best options for dealing with a crisis on any world. Rumor has it that this unit had another purpose, a deep dark, and secret purpose after being given advanced training that only a few in Republic command are even aware of. Regardless of what the purpose of this training was it has propelled the unit forward, allowing them to hold their own against force users when many would flee. With war brewing yet again, Nexu Company prepares to once again take the fight to the Imperials.
