NyxNoxNothing
Compare it to the loading times you have when you switch continents in WoW. That is super fast. When you try to load up a planet or a flashpoint in Swtor you're waiting ages. You could make a cup of tea and it'll still be loading. I do think something needs to be done to compress the amount of data it wants to send through our internet cables. If it were a single player game this wouldn't be a problem cause you don't use the net; but Bioware needs to fix it for Swtor. They could at least make it more friendly for people who can't afford high end internet or high end computers. So the loading times are related to connection bandwidth? Weird. i'm used to MMOs where the world maps are largely stored in the client with just mobs, players, and environmental changes requiring updating from the server. And why does the client have to reload all assets when switching to different instances of the same zone/planet? Seriously, it's annoying to join a group and then have to wait while everything reloads just to switch to the group's instance. Actually that's my biggest complaint about the loading times. Sure, SWTOR loads much slower than all other MMOs i've played, but it wouldn't be half as annoying if it was only when actually switching to a different map/planet.
