All the other class defense ability's tell you exactly what they do? Does it absorb X dmg then turn off? or does it absorb X dmg for the duration? I have never bothered to look. It's just from Power and Cunning (Not sure about cunning for Snipers). In the stat panel, open the Healing part in one of the two tabs, and read the first line, the number is here and a mouse-over should explain where does it come from.
