How To Unlock Supply Crates for Another Character?

Hi guys I have a question

I’ve been told that once I played the KOTFE, it would unlock the supply crates to my legacy characters. So I created another character to play and finished it. But the supply crates remain locked for my another character in the same legacy. I’ve tried to go to alliance war room with my main character and I couldn’t enter.

So I wanna know if are there any alliance specialists in the fleet or doesn’t unlock and I have to play kotfe AGAIN to unlock it to my main character?

Thank you and may the force be with you.

I’ve been told that once I played the KOTFE, it would unlock the supply crates to my legacy characters.

If someone said exactly that, they were just wrong.

What happens is that a character who has finished Chapter IX of KotFE (the one where you arrive on Odessen) can access the NPCs named in the locked supply crate descriptions. The crates themselves are bound to your legacy, not to a specific character, which means that you can transfer them (by methods already described) from characters who have gathered them to the one who has played through to that point, and that character can open them.

As an additional note, I’m pretty sure almost everything in those crates, once opened by your specialist or resistance contact, is unbound: companion gifts, decorations, mounts. The empty moddable Remnant armor shells are bound to legacy, so no real problem there either.

So, the only thing you miss out on by opening the crates on a different character are the influence points. If the character who earned the locked crates you traded to your legacy alt isn’t in KOTFE yet than it isn’t really a problem. If you only have one other legacy alt character through KOTFE and that character has all four specialists at influence rank 20, I guess it is a little bit of wasted opportunity. I generally try to get all my characters specialists to at least rank 10, that way any toon I take through Star Fortresses will have all the buffs for the group. So I always have some specialists for whom the influence gain won’t be wasted.

The special Roche mounts that you can purchase once you hit rank 20 are bound to character however, so if you’re going for one of those, you have to do it on the character you want the mount on. The mount itself is bound, as is the token you get when you complete the mission to get a specialist to 20 (it’s picked up and auto-completed from a little datapad in your commanders quarters in the base, near the underworld logistics area.). Technically, they aren’t drops from the locked crates per se, but they are somewhat related.
