If you remove Tactical swapping and guard from dps, the game would be perfect

I believe you mean shadow, as operatives cant guard

 

nor do they really swap tactical either since it is impractical in most situations....

 

I used to think that removing guard from dps was a bad idea because it would eliminate an additional layer of complexity from the game.

 

With 6.0 and improper scaling of heals and dps, I have come to terms that removing guard from dps may be the most expedient and efficient way to balance.

 

But nerfing sins will not make the game perfect. It will bring us much closer to it but there are some other issues that need to be fixed as well.

You can just key bind them and have how many u want to change. It just a tick with GCD. What you need is to be out of combat in all the classes. So all classes can do it, Obvious stealth classes are at an advantage cause they can go out of combat many times in a five minute arena. So they can change how much tacticals they want.

Tactical swapping on operatives is impractical and costly. Unlike assassins, swapping tacticals on operative does not put you at an advantage. If you tactical swap on an operative in either of the three specs, then you are doing it wrong.

That’s just your opinion mate, no offence ofc, I’ve had some use for it.

Not sure how they would stop swapping though as the name implies a tactical decision so bw wouldn’t be able to just stop swapping out of combat and not at beginning of a match, or would they? 🧐

Should be like the trauma debuff you get when exiting PvP fights. The one that gives 20% less healing received. Just make it last 15secs when leaving combat and you're good to go.

Stealth classes in pvp are at such an advantage because they have the ability to offguard and tactical swap. If stealth classes cannot offguard they will be fine.

 

So you want to remove off guard and off healing would be fair? Imagine one team having 2 opers against 0 off heal class with 2 juggs or pt. Putting kolto ad refressing it so easy so do you think it will be fair to keep it in game while sharing your teammates damage is just acceptable. With guard you are not preventing 50% damage you are sharing it and you can play a little smart and swap target and punish player who is gguarding but it seems too hard i guess. So putting bubble or putting kolto and healing which means actually negating damage is perfectly fine? Off guarding is very easy to counter you just have to play smarter.

REMOVE double vanish and nerf DPS guard and class balance will become 3x better. Dps should not be able to guard same as tanks same as dps should not be able to heal like healers. Easy as that. Switching on GUARDING DPS so hey dies fast isn't working in heal games cuz healer can heal them all up easily same as sin can double vanish and guard in games without healers

opers offheal is ok it heals like 2-3k hps maximum which is low tbh (only dot oper is too opped with his 5k hps) while guard has ALL 50 % like it is a tank lol

Would that also mean that tanks need a dps nerf and extra guard utility? I’ve see some tanks do more damage in matches than most Dps. Some damage is mind blowing. Ie, 8 mil dps for a tank in regs is pretty over the top,

Instead of wishing it removed from dps players altogether, how about changing the way guard works when your in a damage discipline, in the same way some of the utilities do?

 

For an assassin example:

'......... within 15m of the guarded player, for the Darkness discipline 50% of all incoming damage directed back to you.

For Hatred and Deception, 15% of all incoming damage is directed back to you and whenever the guarded player recieves direct tech or force damage they gain Guarded Precision, increasing their healing, damage and accuracy by 5% for 3 seconds. This effect can only occur once every 10 seconds.'

 

Maybe not those values, maybe not that buff. But rather than remove it, change it. Then tacticals like Friend of the Force will still be useful to all disciplines.
