I have a normal raid group in my guild that I run. However, I was not able to make it to the raid last night, and my group cleared 4/5 HM EV, and are saving a HM Soa attempt for Sunday. My question is, if I find another group that is running tonight to go with to HM EV and we clear 4/5 too, will I be locked out of doing Soa with my normal group on Sunday? I don't want to miss out on getting Rakata gear this week, so I would very much like to run HM EV tonight, but I also don't want to hurt my group because I am locked out and can't run with them on Sunday.

You can do that or just go for soa. If you are not locked out you can start at any boss (however if you just do soa you lose the chance to kill any of the previous bosses) but if you do 4/5 with another team you will be able to do soa with another.
