I am looking to get MMO gear now that I am committed to this game, and I was wondering if somebody could recommend a very inexpensive, yet adequate, headset for use with SWTOR.

Thank You in advance!

I have both the Logitech G35 and the Megalodons and prefer the Logitech.

I'm not sure the Megalodon qualifies as inexpensive. I use Sennheiser PC 350s, but they're not cheap either.

I use the Sennheiser PC360. It's easily the best headset with a microphone around, but it's also $220 on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-PC-.../dp/B003DA4D2U

I got mine for $160 a few months back. It's too bad the price has gone up!

Anyway, what's cheap to you? It you're talking <$50, it really doesn't much matter what you get.

A little bit more expensive than Logitech G35 but much better sound quality. So if you have the money for a G35 you could always eat noodles for two days and save up for a Sennheiser instead. Its gonna be worth the money.

Logitech Clearchat headset has always been great for me. Think it retails around $60-$75 depending on where you buy it.

Same.

Tried the Megalodon first and was not impressed, very quiet and some documented driver issues (might be fixed by now). Sent them back and picked up the Sennheiser 350's and imo they are worth every penny, highly recommend them or the 360's if you can afford it.

I got a Plantronics headset that I bought at Office Depot a few years back for about $35 or something. Works great!

I use the razer carcharias, not a bad headset for the price tag. It fits and sounds great. I would also recommend not buying a real cheap headset. Most of them arenít designed to be used more than a few minutes and really start hurting your ears after 15-20 min of gameplay
