Looking for a new laptop

Hello Community,

Lately I've been looking into buying a new laptop: something on the budget side and yet capable of playing SWTOR comfortably on mid/lo-hi settings.

Currently I have a Dell Inspiron (i3; Intel HD4000) -- it can run the game on the lowest settings, but when things get hectic on the screen I experience stuttering.

I have a general preference for Lenovo/IBM products (very good experiences in the past) and so far I found this as a possible replacement for my gear, for ca. 700 [which is close to the max ammount I'm willing to spend]:

Lenovo IdeaPad G510:
-- i7-4702MQ 2.2-3.2GHz
-- 1TB HDD
-- 8GB RAM
-- AMD Radeon R7 M265 2GB
-- 1366x768 glare
-- USB 3.0
-- Windows 7 Home 64bit [I'm avoiding Windows 8 lappys, because I find the system to be crap.]

I'd appreciate any advice: am I looking in the right direction at all? Will this system handle SWTOR on good settings or will it struggle?

Thanks very much for any advice.

What is your budget? Personally I'm saving up for either an Origins Laptop or a Digitalstorm laptop with SLI.

Look into originpc or digitalstormonline and see their selection. Also don't cheap out on the cpu.

I couldn't match your 700 euros , but I bought from Novatech a couple of years ago and plays the game on high settings very well and the other company I almost bought from are pc specialist ( they are slightly dearer ).

The handy thing about my laptop was it had no bloatware at all.

Hey no worries , I spent months choosing , looking at e-bay etc. Alienware , looked okay but at the time I would have had to get a second hand really old one and yeah it would have been horrible . So I checked for a while and found a novatech one with SSD for 704 , so it basically performed similar to a very good alienware that sold for about 1300 or more at the time so yeah. I do have it on a fan stand but yeah it's all good. Good luck getting one.
