(I haven't failed it since, even on alts - it's easy once you know what to shoot first.) I never again encountered a space mission that took more than two tries to succeed. On those 6 tries, the escort ship always blew up with the LAST fighters that spawned. The key: Turrets > Fighters. Take them out, ESPECIALLY at the very beginning! It's easy pickings. EDIT:Same principle for the mission Ma Takei or something along those lines. If you concentrate on the fighters, you'll have a hard time getting the bonus. You have so many cruisers that pop up. I went in with zero upgrades and felt it was one of the easiest things I'd ever done with gaming. If you struggled with something this easy, I really don't know what to say. That's bizarre.
