mikedoug
QUALITY OF LIFE! Guys, I know you razzed us about "why do people use special characters in their name", but seriously, if you're talking about QUALITY OF LIFE improvements, there's nothing worse than trying to run a large guild (which is trying to help keep people active in your game by the way!) than a guild window that doesn't let us communicate effectively with the guild members! Guild Window. Right Click. Whisper. For-The-Win Please!

Adric_the_Red
why even add colon ... I realize this is a bit of an "old" question, but.... The colon at the end is to indicate the end of the player name. Now that you can have a space in your character name (since long ago, really) there has to be something other than just a space to indicate the end of the character name. Without the colon... /whisper John James got called in to work and can't play. /whisper John James Hey, what's up? The parser wouldn't be able to determine the correct recipient of these messages. With the colon: /whisper John: James got called in to work and can't play. This message will go to a character named "John". /whisper John James: Hey, what's up? This message will go to a character named "John James".
