Wolfninjajedi
Alright am back with another Elite thread, this time looking at the feared Storm Commandos! So lets get to it! ============== "Who were those guys? I've never seen stormtroopers like those." "Those were storm commandos. They're elite soldiers responsible for carrying out special operations against the rebellion." ―Luke Skywalker and Tycho Celchu during the Mission to Dantooine History The natural enemy of Rebel Infiltrators and one of the most feared Stormtrooper units, they were trained by the very man who whipped Rebel SpecForce into shape, Crix Madine. Madine was assigned the task of forming the units, finding them quite able to learn in commando tactics and they were established within only a few months though shortly after the first Storm Commando units were deployed, Madine had defected to the Alliance. It was still kept in place however the units, the Storm Commandos were soon used in seige-breaking operations, extractions, covert assaults, stabotage and pre-assault operations against invasion and Base Delta Zero targets, they were normally deployed against enemy leaders, ranging from assassination to capture, and also destroying any important facilities used by foes. Storm Commandos are one of the few Stormtrooper units considered a priority threat by Rebel SpecForce. Although higly effective, they are small in number, even compared to Imperial Army special missions, the numbers are growing however and present an ever increasing threat. Training/Equipment Like other elite Stormtrooper units, Storm Commandos are trained to be fairly self-sufficent, able to maintain their gear and health. A unit of commandos can range between 4 and 40 troops, one quater being a line unit with the standard attributes and skills, second unit is the assault team trained to operate vehicle blasters and artillery, third unit is the sabotuer team and has exensive stealth, demolitions and anti-security training, forth quater is the tech team, able to repair or jury rig a vast array of technology. They were typically deployed in squads of 3 to 6 commandos, however in certain missions that would be considered suicide it was only 2. Their armor was based on Scout Trooper armor though black in color, it being enhanced by a coating of advanced ploymer called reflec which deflected light and sensor energy, this made weaers all but invisible to the most determined of scans. The Storm Commandos also carried a small generator that created a sound dampening field, numerous concealed weapons and a thermal detonator that a commando could detonate should they be faced with capture. They wielded E-11 blasters as standard, though they also made use of the Opressor Flamethrower and Imperial long-range rocket rifle. Storm commandos also used modified 74-Z speeder bikes, designed for silence and speed able to aid them in infiltration missions. Storm Commandos were also trained to fly commando exclusive TIE Hunters, generally operating from escort carriers which would be under their command. They would also make use of Imperial drop pods. ============ Pictures Commandos with AT-PT support. Commando taking aim.
