Buellzebubba
Do any types of moddable gear get an inherent amplifier in addition to the armor & mod slots?

JediQuaker
Actually, most of the "level 75" gear has a built in amplifier.
Buellzebubba
Actually, most of the "level 75" gear has a built in amplifier. But is it moddable?
Buellzebubba
Specifically AmpChamp. ("Amplified Champion" - the clue is in the name)Â So the amp champ gives you the extra amplifier, but the other sets give you set bonuses. What is considered better? mike_carton
A combination. 6 pieces of a set with bonus (*) with the seventh gear piece being the Amplified Champion is the ideal combination. If possible using an Amplified Champion piece for the helmet. (*) You only need 6 pieces to get full set bonus.
StockThorax
The quest reward gear "Onderonian" set from onslaught also has built in amps on armor shells... significantly less expensive to reroll, if you're looking for cheap crafting amp shells... and it's legacy bound, and you get one set for every character you run through onslaught. But is it moddable? The "Sha'Tek" branded armor set is moddable but starts at 20k to reroll an amplifier. Onderonian set starts at 5k. You'll get a bunch of Sha'Tek from all sources, but because it's so expensive to reroll it's better to just RE the ones that aren't useful for jawa scrap. Both Sha'Tek and Onderonian shells have mostly the crafting amplifiers. Amplified Champion is the only armor set shells with combat amplifiers. Mubrak
You can check what's available before you reroll the amplifier. There are three different lists of amplifiers, with the ones available for armor shells (except the Amplified Champion set) being not really worth a reroll. Â Armorings, Barrels, Hilts and Amplified Champion shells - Combat performance (max blue amplifier quality on the shells)Â Mods - Crafting success / critical - Gameplay QOL (Mount speed, featherfall etc.) Â Armor Shells (Level 75) - Crafting duration - Increased xp and other rewards - Money/time saver QOL (increased influence gain, discounted quick travel etc.) Edited December 6, 2020 by Mubrak
