Has anyone gotten a companion up to maximum reputation and then tested the effects on missions?

I'm assuming that it ends up being about a 15% reduction in mission completion time as at 6200ish affection now I'm recording slightly over a 9% reduction. Anyone have any thoughts/data on this? Does it only affect the time to complete a mission, or are there ancillary effects related to critical crafting?
