This isn't so bad, think about the poor people that still visit and post in a dead games forums https://forums.dust514.com/ and still hold out hope for the release of either a port of the game to a relevant console or a new game that is similar to the old game. It's been a year since the game's servers went offline and these people have had little to no updates from the developers but yet they are still there, clinging to the hope they have that the developers won't screw them...again.

Watching the player base get angrier and angrier at the Devs is not nearly as entertaining as playing a different game ;)

If there is no compensation for players (at least subb'd players), EA stands to lose a good portion of this game's dwindling player base to like ANY OTHER MMO.

TAKE NOTE DEVS

Im playing star wars but some people are just playing a game with friends, they'd happily pick up somewhere else.

To think that I resubbed for this last month after leaving the game three years ago... for this among other issues. I actually thought that these types of issues would have been long gone by now. A triple A title with low-budget "B" scale problems?

And for those who think compensation is "hilarious", other titles with MUCH lower budgets actually DO provide ingame compensation for flubs like this... it is called customer service and it works... I'm thinking that those who think that this concept is "hilarious" have no clue about the concept of customer service and its' intrinsic value... which is much more than 50 cents per day.

It is HILARIOUS. You don't seem to have "got" what I meant xD Your talking about other MMO's who actually care. BW does NOT. They have this crap happening all the time and they never compensate anyone so do you honestly think they'll start now? Get real.

Wow. I knew they were bad, but not that bad.

I would advise against over-reacting to a 4 year old article. Especially one that is based on a web survey polling method.. which are generally crowd agenda biased (ie: people will go out of their way to try to garner votes against a company to fluff up the numbers).

We may have a fix in place. We are still verifying that everything is stable and good to go. More updates to come.

Double checking the work. Makes total sense. Glad to hear that things are going well. Thanks for the update Eric.

Hi hi !

A lot of maintenance has been shifted lately ... Every time the European servers were the first to suffer these lags ...

Maybe compensation is possible? A nice mount offered to all players to excuse these many delays? A mini-pets? A new partner?

Sorry for the mistakes ...

A Frenchman who could not play tonight continued a maintenance.

Bioware are an absolute joke when it comes to running this game!

They are absolutely horrible they schedule a maintenance which was

supposed to be from 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM PST

It is now 1:35 PM MST (12:35 PST) and I still can't log into the game!

http://www.swtor.com/community/devtracker.php

Hey everyone!

We will be taking the servers offline on Tuesday, May 2nd in order to apply

Game Update 5.2.1. The website will also be unavailable during this time.

Details:

DATE: 2 May 2017

TIME: 5:00AM - 9:00AM PDT (1200 - 1600 GMT)

VERSION: 5.2.1

Patch Notes will be available on Monday, here.

Thank you for your patience as we maintain Star Wars™: The Old Republic™!

-eric

Then they extend the maintenance by an hour after that

because they can't get the patch to go out to all the players

and some people were not getting the patch.

Then next the login servers are not reachable and all of a sudden

now they are claiming that there is some kind of a connection issue to their

datacenter and can't even manage to give any kind of time frame for

repairs what so ever.

As a trained Network Admin myself who has worked on

mission critical systems if I had this kind of incompetency

I would be immediately fired.

Bioware has absolutely no idea what they are doing

or how to properly run these servers.

This is absolutely unaccusable and is some of the

absolute worst customer service that I have ever

seen by a company.

Bioware can't even seem to manage to get

an update on a timeframe on this issue and

the mean time all of their paying customers

like myself can't even connect in and play the

game.

Absolutely horrible service really give me one

good reason why I should stay with SWTOR

at this point if this is how things are going

to be.

I am extremely disappointed at this point

as to how this patch have gone on May 2 2017

(Patch 5.2.1)

Now it is about 2:00 PM MST (1:00 PM PST) and the

servers are back up and you can download the patch

but the actual game servers are offline.

I hope we are going to get compensation for this

This is absolutely unacceptable the way that this whole

patch has been handled.
