How it all started...

Nearly six galactic standard years after the Sacking of Coruscant, there was a plot in Galactic City. Several Senators conspired to end the stalemate between the Republic and the Empire, hoping to further their diplomatic campaigns and reopen doors that had been closed by the Treaty of Coruscant. Working secretly, these diehard Republicans were the masterminds behind a top secret operation. The executive was unofficially deemed: Osk Four Three One Trill. They were careful in their execution of this mandate, working with only their most trusted allies in the Galactic Republic's armed forces. Surprisingly enough, one of these Senators even managed to recruit a couple of Jedi Knights to the cause.

With no formal tasking under any official directives, these two Jedi led a team of some of the Republic's finest. Under Osk Four Three One Trill, these Jedi and their trooper comrades formed a pact. They would stop the Empire, at all cost.

For half a decade, these esoteric operatives of the Senate used guerrilla war tactics on several fronts of the galaxy to expose the Sith Empire's corrupted agenda. They sabotaged and disrupted Imperial operations wherever they were sent. Because of this, they were given the oddly appropriate moniker; the Backrocket Bastards.

It all came to an end near the end of the Cold War. They had been successful in increasing tension between the Republic and the Empire, but they were still a liability to those who had commissioned them in the first place. The Treaty of Coruscant was fraying at the edges and the galaxy was right on the brink of returning to all out war. The Senators nor the leaders in the Republic military, who had been a part of the conspiracy, could afford to have their names sullied for being involved in such an undiplomatic act. So they did what they must, they devised a plan to disenfranchise the Bastards and erase any evidence of their existence from history.

On their, would be, final mission; the Backrocket Bastards were sent to disrupt peace talks over the independent world of Voss. The mission went terribly wrong, as it was intended, and the Backrocket Bastards were left in shambles. The Jedi involved were separated, both went into exile, one was deemed a traitor and a terrorist. Those who served alongside them were either 'killed-in-action' or imprisoned for 'treason' and 'war crimes'.

Some two standard years passed before either of the Jedi were seen again. It was inevitable, however, that they would resurface. Be it the will of the Force or simply chance, they emerged. Each of them set on a path that eventually brought them back to one another. One of the Jedi had been motivated by an insatiable desire to clear their names and prove that they weren't the warmongering savages they'd been made out to be. Whilst the other Jedi was pulled from exile by the Hutt Cartel's invasion of the planet Makeb.

Now, reunited, they have rallied what remained of the Backrocket Bastards. They've taken up their old epithet and have set themselves in the middle of the Galactic War once more, acting independently for the Republic!

Becoming a Bastard...

So, now you know the storyline behind the Backrocket Bastards. Now, what is this guild all about? Well, we're a guild that focuses primarily on RP. We pride ourselves on rich storylines and story arcs that keep our characters involved in the galaxy around us. We're not really those people you see standing around in cantinas aimlessly socializing for hours on end. We like for our RP to have depth and progression. We expect a certain degree of literacy from our members to ensure that we aren't scratching our heads trying to read between the abbreviations, typos, and misspellings while we're roleplaying. This also serves as a quality check for those who would want to be a part of the guild and roleplay with us.

Next to roleplaying, we see PVP as a fundamental necessity. We spend almost as much time PVPing as we do RPing. Firm believers in walking the walk. We refuse to roleplay Jedi Knights, cunning Smugglers, and grizzled Troopers without the ability to back up the heroic acts of our characters. We offer a competent and competitive PVP experience. We frequently organize two to four man groups to run War Zones and utilize a mumble server to coordinate while PVPing.

RP and PVP are without a doubt our two main focuses as a guild. That said, we're still roleplayers first and that means we like to experience all of the content of the game. Yes, this means we do PVE operations and flash points. After all, this is where all the juicy cut scenes are for all our RP screenshots! We're not really into progression PVE, we never do nightmare content and only do hard mode content if we're really bored and want to do something different.

Lastly, we're a huge social guild. Our guild mumble is definitely rated 'I', for ignant. We like to hang out, talk smack to each other, and have a lot of laughs while we kick it. It's important to us that we get to know each other and form a connection beyond that of in-game chat boxes. Most of us have been roleplaying together for over four years now and have come to know each other really well.

One last thing, the only thing that is mandatory in order for us to consider you as a possible member of the Backrocket Bastards is that you enjoy roleplaying. PVP is not mandatory, but you might find yourself bored if the rest of us are PVPing and you're left wanting to do something else. I would like to say mumble is mandatory, but we already have one in our midst that has yet to grace us with their presence over mumble. So I cannot say that it is required, but it is highly HIGHLY preferred that you're willing to come into mumble and be social with the rest of us.

The Backrocket Bastards would like to welcome Zaul. The new Bastard on the block.

There is an unequivocal swagger to the man, called Zaul, hailing from the highly educated and democratic society of Alderaan. Falling short of his father's approval, Zaul was forced to leave his House and home; but not before coming into some of his family wealth. Since his banishment from Alderaan, Zaul has mostly been roaming from planet to planet with his disposable income. In his travels, he'd seen the late affects of the Cold War and the renewed conflict left in its wake. He hadn't been a key player in the second Galactic War, but he'd been dragged into it a time or two; and if you asked him, he would tell you he was fine with it. Zaul enjoyed a good scrap, so beating the living poodoo out of Imperials was right up his alley. Aside from blowing credits and occasionally helping the war effort, he spent most of his early twenties taking down local criminals and picking random fights. He prided himself on proving that you don't need "The Force" to win battles.

So now, Zaul has started a new chapter in his life's story with the Bastards. What will come of him, who knows? Only time will tell.

The Backrocket Bastards would like to introduce Naveh Kor-vas to the fray.

A nerf herder, tried and true, from the genial grasslands of Dantooine. Naveh became relevant to the greater galaxy by, quite literally, squeezing through the cracks of enlistment into the armed forces of the Galactic Republic. She forged her documentation when she signed up, putting her in service two years before she was qualified to join in accordance with regulations and protocol. The finest adrenals credits can buy don't compare to the inherently cranked charisma of Naveh Kor-vas. She lives for the thrill, there's no doubt about that. Her insatiable craving to charge headstrong into commotion, coupled with her vibrant and nurturing spirit, landed her right smack dab in the middle of things when the fighting started. A top notch medic, to say the least.

Naveh was relieved when the Cold War ended, but didn't exactly welcome what was left in its wake. She knew that all-out-war was inevitable, but nothing could prepare anyone to piece together the surplus of blown apart bodies brought about by the return of the Galactic War. Yet, still, she weathered the storm and allowed its brutal rain and howling winds to serve as a reminder... "It was long past time to run those [imperial] ******es back to whatever far corner the galaxy they crawled out of."

So, here she is, the combat medic known as Naveh has found herself entangled with the Backrocket Bastards, a motley crew of Republic vigilantes intent of striking the Sith Empire from existence once and for all. How will she fit in and what purpose will she serve? Only the future and arguably the Force will tell...

Welcome! Great addition addition to the team, and finally a young man isn't the only trooper in the guild anymore... :rak_03:

Also, we're still looking for troopers and scoundrels. Troopers. Troopers. Troopers.
