I have a friend lucky enough to be attending, jsut spoke to him on the phone.

So far, no specific news on the new movies (that he has heard anyway), but a bit on the new Rebels series and canon/lore.

I think that it has less to do with it staying in America than it does with Disney wanting to show off their shiny new toy at their big expo. It just happens to be in America.

I totally agree. I wish that they would have used an official Star Wars Celebration, regardless of where it was held, as a place to reveal something huge.
