Darth Vader Vs Darth Vader

If somehow the Darth Vader jumped back into time and fought the Darth Vader of the past, who would win?

Darth Vader before his arm was chopped off before the heavy armor. But at the height of his dark side power.

Darth Vader from the future with Armor

who would win and why?

Darth Vader before he was chopped by Obi-Wan was not at his height of Dark Side power. He's much more powerful in the dark side once he gets the suit and continues his apprenticeship under Sidious. Sidious even says in the Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader novel that Anakin was still "between worlds" (lightside and darkside), and that contributed to Obi-Wan defeating him.

The suit cut off his force potential overall, but Anakin was still a newbie with the darkside pre-suit.

Dang, that's a hard one. Honestly I think Vader WITH a suit would win. But it's very close because Suit Vader is limited by his suit, while non-suit Vader hasn't acquired significant knowledge of the dark side. Very(x10) close fight.

Its canon Vader was in his prime in Suit.

Not only that, he even stated like Temechulus(I just butchered the spelling) said, In Dark Lord that Vader was pretty much an emotional distress pre-suit.

And as Anakin Skywalker he definitely would not be match for Vader.

There's some stupid **** written into canon sometimes. Like how a boy from Tatooine with a couple years of rushed and intermittent training in the Force could hope to compare for 5 seconds (nevermind multiple battles) with Darth Vader, when Anakin Skywalker was not even in his prime yet while being touted as one of the strongest Jedi ever, not to mention being stronger than any of Sidious's previous apprentices.

That's just stupid. Canon, but stupid.

The only way it makes sense is if Vader was a shell of his former self, stubbornly still trying to rely on brute force tactics when his body is no longer suited for brute force. His inability to accept some of the more subtle forms of his Master's teachings being his downfall (and it would have made sense, then, why Sidious wanted Luke as his new apprentice so badly. Vader was powerful, but ultimately a failed experiment due to the circumstances that robbed him of his body. Sidious would see Luke as a younger, healthier version of his father.) Instead of Vader being a big fish in a small pond after Order 66, they made him a great white shark in a small pond. No weakness, except for little boys.

Wait, that didn't come out right...

Suited Vader wins. Imagine a man with no fear of death, practically immortal, and the most skilled practitioner of Djem So(arguably, I put him just above Plo Koon in Djem So mastery). Vader became 80% of Sidious in the suit. Anakin had the chance to become Luke Skywalker, but the battle with Kenobi cost him that ability.

Vader wins, not easily but he would win.
