Farming machinery / objects

Hi there

As the subject suggests I'd really like to collect some farming / agriculture / machine type decorations. I'm new to Strongholds, and although I've been looking in the right places (I think) I wondered if there were some I'm not seeing because my searches are using the wrong words and/or the sites I'm looking at are a little out of date.

If you have any suggestions, I'd be really grateful! I'm particuarly interested in the farming buildings etc from Ossus. Does the big circular farming plot (the ones you blow up on the Imp side) exist?

Anyway, suggestions and pointers very welcome.

Many thanks! o/

Ossus and Dantooine are the only places where you can get agricultural themed decos.

There are three terrariums on the reputation vendor, and two world drops: the crop planter and the hydroponic vineyard.

Dantooine has several decorations on the reputation vendor. There are also a few that are acquired by completing achievements during the Pirate Incursion event.

ceryxp has already linked the most important stuff.

I made an agricultural zone in my Alderaan stronghold that I later expanded. The Dantooine decos are unfortunately quite a hassle (I still need the crop harvester), since you need to grind the event heroics for a lot of them, but the Ossus decos are easy to come by.

As also been mentioned, you can get some from achievements. You get tall fruit plants from "Dantooinian Culinarian" and the farm plow from "Farm Planet Prodigy", for which you need to finish the Culinarian and 4 other achievements first.

The Farmer's Cargo Transport you can buy for Dantooine Surveyor Notes looks much better than in the preview - it carries a couple of baskets with vegetables. The deco "bomb carrier" is the same model but bigger and without any cargo. Some of the feast decos like basket with fruits and crate of grain seem to be fitting.

Additional decos that might help are the load lifter mounts which shouldn't be too expensive on the GTN. In the FP Objective Meridian an Industrial Forklift can drop.

The emergency response droid is an astromech that sprays water which is great for watering the crops.

I also used the livestock corrals and put some taun-taun, bantha and orobird mounts there.

  • 2 weeks later...

@ceryxp and @Mongorr - thank you so much for taking the time to reply and with exactly the kind of info I was after. Really kind.

I'm currently doing the Dantooine event on all my alts, gathering rep tokens and survey reports to buy all the things. Will have a go at the achievements too, and I'll going on an Ossus killing spree or two, hopefully to find the items there.

Glad other people saw the front of their Alderaan castle and thought, 'I need a farm here!'. I'm looking forward to decorating it. I loved the pics of your farm, @Mongorr! I was wondering how to put livestock around the place.

Anyway, thanks again! o/

I guess a lot of people had the same idea for Alderaan:

Those Dantooine decos are not fun to farm (no pun intended).

That's just gorgeous!! The farm bit looks amazing and very 'right', but I've also never seen those big walls in situ, and they look great too. Blimey they are big! They look really good there.

Actually, can I ask you both @Mongorr and @Screaming_Ziva - how did you get your camera to zoom out like that? I can't get my camera to do anything that dramatic/interesting. It's a bit of a bug bear of mine - but I'm obviously missing a trick somewhere.

Nice that you're sharing your farms. Thank you! :)

It's not just a matter of "zoom", but also, where you are standing at the time.

I'd really like a 'farming area', and Alderaan would be the best place for it, but I find the surrounding snow to be off-putting.
