Before i update this i'd like to ask..

 

Should we increase the dmg done needed for the +Hit % bracket (Gunships especially)?

 

Scout/Fighters - 30,000

Gunships - 50,000

 

Any suggestions? As someone posted, you can get a high hit % by running around and hitting turrets so..

Although I have yet to break 50k dps in a match I would be on board with this change. I realize that would disqualify me from making the listings for now, but it would also introduce a welcome challenge.

I don't think so. The original intent I had for the damage minimum in the first place wasn't competence, it was simply the ability to hit something like a turret once and get a 100% accuracy. I don't think it should be a challenge of how much damage one can get with that good of accuracy "ah i got great accuracy but only 27k damage, can't make the leaderboard". If you're actually playing the game at all you'll have at least 20k accuracy.

 

TL;DR - No, I do not think so. As long as the leaderboard is split up by ship type, there's no reason to raise the minimum. It exists only to keep players from making some quick and easy hit, then doing nothing the rest of the match.

I have others but too lazy. Going to leave it at this for posting in this thread. I unlocked 250 damage, 500 mvp and 250 assist achievements a while ago.

Updated. Removed Hit % bracket.

 

Also for people wondering about the extremely high assists done by Gunships, this is because of the 10,000 ship requisition Ion upgrade (AoE damage, radius is very large)

 

Don't have exact distance but all enemies in your sniper scope (assuming they're all ~13,000-15,000 from you) will get hit. There doesn't seem to be a cap on the # of targets it can hit).

 

AoE damage also applies to turrets. Not sure if hitting turrets will spread AoE to players though. Damage.. .is strong for shields but very weak on the hull. The most problematic part of Ion as discussed by other Gunshippers outside is debuff spamming. A slight breeze will deal the full (AoE) % slow, and afaik wil lalso sap the same amount of energy as a fully charge ion gun.

The aoe will spread to ships if the initial target is a turret. I use that to flush people out that are hiding on the far side of turrets from me. A fully charged round only does about 65 damage to the turret, but the aoe still hits all the ships nearby for roughly 850 to their shields.
