I hope there is never a macro friendly version of this game, there is already enough 3rd party programs and such for pvp/pve grinding that has not been addressed other than 2day/week banning And supporting macros in this game would even drive this game further from what it could successfully become.

To me and this is being honest, adding macros to a game is the lazy man's way of playing a game and opens up doors to a whole host of other not wanted things put in this game.

why don't write a program that play the game at our place (most probably better then many of us)

people that want and use macro are just not as good as people that don't and to catch up they need to use small unfair advantages.

overall a person that use a macro just admit that he is not as good as a person that don't use them because he can do the same without having to use soft cheat

i wish people would play fair but internet is really not the place where u can find decent players

I agree on all you say.

But the problem is many so called top end players (high rating) use them, and BW is doing nothing about it. I was seeing a stream and the other day with an infamous healer switching target and healing in god like manner (think mouse over). With Season One I did expect BW to take a better stance on this. We are in season two and truth is they are always watching and just Watching.
If they cannot control then make it for everyone and integrate it in the game, and remove that part in terms of use where they say third party programs which give an advantage are not allowed.

The dev basically said that any macro is allowed, as long as it only activates 1 ability per macro use. Meaning, you could use a "priority" macro so that 1 button can be used to fire off several different attacks. As long as pressing the macro key only activates 1 ability for 1 GCD, you are fine. You can use that same macro and just spam it.

So there are no complex, multi-ability macros but you really shouldn't be using macros that way in the first place. (In general...not a rule)
---
Just for the non believers, here is an example of a very basic macro that has basically zero downside to use. Its not necessary by any means, but its just a small example of what is possible:
Any time you use your rage builder (assault?) as a sith warrior, it always checks first to see if the rage builder with CD (battering assault?) is available. If not, it fires the non-CD version anyways.
That's a good macro, but I would like to use macros that use abilities with other abilities that are off the GCD. For instance, Laze Target is pretty pointless. I would just make a macro that uses Laze Target off CD on every Snipe. No reason to have to press that button once a minute before every Snipe. It's dumb. Either that or BioWare can just make Snipe have a 100% chance to crit every minute. Simple. Things like that don't make sense and SHOULD be able to be macro'd to make them more convenient to use. Quality of life, if you will.

And LOL @ people who constantly strafe/mouse turn for no reason. I mean, if there is a reason for it, sure, go ahead. But just being erratic to be erratic is a good way to get roflzstomped by a vastly superior movement specialist like me. I love facing Ops or Sins and them not being able to get behind me to Maul or Backstab. Or facing some dumb Warrior who just moves all over the place like a moron and me just hardly moving like, "Ok, boy, lol," before I kill him with ease. If they are a backpedaler, obviously stay behind so they can't attack you, but there's no reason to keep moving in front of them so they can hit you just because you have ADD.

It's fun to see all the stuff that's not been fixed.

Every other mmo has them. That is all.

I've always thought macros don't belong to MMOs and I still think so. BUT since BW obviously unable to control the use of third party macros, may as well make it legal so not just cheaters benefit from their effects. Or do something about them.

Exactly. Like so many laws/rules it only punishes the honest people. Between AutoIt and a Naga mouse, you can create all the crazy macros you want.

Honestly, I think the reason they are not in the game is b/c it would take too much effort to add them.

I wish I would have realized there is no in-game macro support before starting a subscription. For me, macros are essential to be able to utilize all your abilities without having button bars all over the screen.

people talk about skill then make macro is silly.. is like he to play guitar or piano you need skill... and then they start playing and put a CD on that cover 90% of what they are doing

and for the fact that punish honest people it's true but after a while you figure out who use macro and who doesn't and that make the difference between a glorious enemy and a lame *** one

being honest is hard in life and is hard in a videogame but if you are you will have my respect.
