No, not since the beginning of the game. At the beginning of the game, there were neither decorations nor Outfit Designer, so nobody asked for this back then.

lol I think you know what DT meant.

Anyway, OP, yes to this. One of the great things about SWG was that you could "drop" armor pieces in your house and they would be positioned in the air as if on an invisible mannequin, so various outfits could be displayed that way. Or, you could dress player-controlled NPC vendors in whatever you wanted. So you had two ways to display outfits.

Not sure how it would work for SWTOR. However, there is a workaround. You can dress up some eligible companions in the outfit of choice, and put the companion in your stronghold as a deco. Now, that outfit will only display if you are in the stronghold. To everyone else, including your other toons, the companion will be dressed in their default outfit and in some cases even as a hologram.
If you think I've made a good contribution with this post, I kindly ask that you use my Refer a Friend link! Here is more information about the program.

Indeed, but there are limits on how much overstatement I'm happy with.

Runes of Magic had actual mannequin decorations that could be equipped with armour, and weapon-stand ones for weapons.

On your other characters that *have* the companion, it will be dressed as those characters have dressed it.
