Because I just noticed under legacy achievements all companions I have not yet met yet doing the two Knights expansions have all gone from gold back to green, meaning there are future achievements coming. I expected that for Kira and Quinn but not Doc, Lord Scourge or Jeasa or any ofther class companions that haven't returned yet.

There is hope! I looked at that day before yesterday, and it hadn't changed, so maybe they really are coming back.

They've said in the past that all companions will return eventually so I'm not surprised.

I am wondering what we are going to do after Iokath with Elara and Malavai.

 

Maybe next is Nathema Coruscant or a new planet.

 

Coruscant should be next after Dromund Kaas but I think Coruscant will be for later big expansion.

 

Nathema then and new returning companions such as Kira Scourge Jaessa. These three might have some connection with Nathema.

 

I think the Jedi Knight and Smuggler are next to get their 2nd companions such as Kira and Risha.

Or Bounty Hunter and Smuggler such as Mako and Corso as 1st companions.

I have so far only gotten through main story, Makeb, and Ilum. Actually, I'm close to getting my 4th class through story. Eventually I will get through Revan, and then I will lose my companions.

 

So my question is, when I lose them, and they come back later, will I still have the same reputation I had with them before? Or will I have to start over?

Your influence level with your companions remains the same when they return.

Adding on to what the other guy said:

You can choose for them to return either via the companion terminal (once you reach chapter 9) or Alerts (note: the Alert "To Find a Findsman" is a prerequisite for unlocking most others, and some are gated behind chapter completions and/or completions of previous Alerts from the same Alliance Specialist (these are Alliance members who tell you "Hey I found someone you might want to recruit, want to go get them?))

 

As for the alerts, these usually involve

• Go to alert location
  
• Companion is busy doing something, needs your help
  
• Providing this help will increase their Influence rank to 10
  
• Sometimes they will need you to something else after this point
  
• They then join your team
  

Thus, if you increase your Influence rank with them to 10 prior to starting KotFE, you can skip most of the work required to get them back via alert.

I hope you're right, but the following update could just as well be focused on scoundrels.

 

While we've already had a chapter focused on scoundrel companions (the one with Vette & Gault), Bioware hasn't been returning the companions in an even manner. For example with the coming update the Trooper will have all their companions returned*, while the Consular has only had Qyzen return thus far.

 

*Except for Tanno Vik, whose voice actor unfortunately passed away. He still returned however, in a cameo.
