Jaren_Kincaid
Or former guild leader quit and the leadership passed to me automatically, but I have no interest in being in an inactive guild of one and want to abdicate the leadership so I can quit the guild and find another one. How do I do this?
ceryxp
You have a few options. If you wanted to stay in the guild but pass leadership to someone else you could use /gabdicate (think that's right), which would automatically pass leadership to someone else in the guild, but it sounds like you want to leave the guild in which case you could /gdisband to terminate the guild entirely and remove everyone, or, if there are other people in the guild and you just want to leave, use /gquit to remove your character(s) from the guild. If the guild is completely inactive you could also consider selling it. Depending on how much is unlocked (stronghold, guild ship, guild banks, a lot of decorations) you could get a few million to tens of million credits for selling a defunct guild. If you want to go that route post in your server's forums that you have a guild for sell. Indicate the faction and everything that is unlocked. SteveTheCynic
To resign as guild leader, simply raise someone else's rank to guild leader, and you will be automatically demoted to something else. Then type "/gquit" into chat to actually exit the guild. Alternatively, to disband the guild if it is *truly* dead, first use the roster to kick everyone out, *then* "/gdisband". Or sell it, as noted by ceryxp.
merovejec
Yeah its best to simply open the guild rooster and right click on someone and promote him to GM. That is the simplest way, but that may cause the leadership to be swapped around, so might be best to simply guild quit.

DarkTergon
Guilds don't really sell much anymore, you could just go to korriban, and ask there, if anyone would like to take over, and leave it to them. merovejec
You have to unleader yourself before quitting. Well yes, same as with server transfer, you cannot transfer a guild leader.
