Zez-Kai-Ell
like title says... anyone else can confirm? cause am still quite sometimes stun slow etc while resilience is active. If so so much for their promises about 2.8 fixing this issue...
GFreeGamer
Is this in PvP or PvE? I'm not having any issues aside from NiM Brontes slowing me or lifting me through it.
KeyboardNinja
I've used Resilience a half-zillion times since the patch, and I haven't once seen it fail to behave (and I was very, very sensitive to the failures pre-2.8). This has exclusively been in PvE, but I've tested it in every boss from Nefra through Brontes and Bestia through Council. It works. The one weird thing I've seen is that *sometimes* it can take a moment to apply the effect. And by "apply the effect" I mean "start seeing resist flytext". This I believe is due to the fact that some abilities are rolled an appreciable amount of time before the damage is applied. The easiest way to see this is on Tyrans, where you can use Resilience to mitigate Thundering Blast, but only if you hit Resilience with more than roughly 0.2 seconds on his cast. This may also be related to lag. In any case, that's a deterministic thing and very easy to work around (just plan ahead slightly). I don't see it as a failure, and I have yet to see anything even remotely like the pre-2.8 (but post-2.0) random failure rate.

XisscVekno
It's not bugged, I've done tests with it to figure out it's fail point. It use to have a 1% failure rate, but it's lower now. Still not a 100% but still rare. It's about a .1% chance now. The way they have it coded it can never reach true 100% so it will fail sometimes. Also, I haven't had a fail in a few months on my Assassin, but had a friend have a fail during a huge grenade in SnV HM last week. So they do still happen, just not nearly as often. halosavior
I haven't had any issues in any PvE content, but PvP is another story entirely. I can accept that, maybe, in some instances of lag or another player getting their ability out just before I activate Resilience, but it's hard to ignore a blatant stun in the middle of the ability's effect. Incidentally, I thought this 2.8 Patchnote was a round-about acknowledgement (and fix) of Resilience failures being attributed to other abilities working improperly, but it still seems to fail me from time to time. Fixed an issue that would occasionally allow abilities to affect targets, even if those targets had a 100% or greater chance to defend against attacks. I'm not too upset about it, but it is still an irritating inconvenience during those crucial moments where it could have made all the difference. So yeah, there goes my two cents thrown into the thread.
KeyboardNinja
The way they have it coded it can never reach true 100% so it will fail sometimes. Why? Resilience gives 200% resist chance. We know from the way that accuracy scales that resist and accuracy are summed before the roll (max(1 - (resist + (1 - tech-accuracy)), 0) == hit-chance), and thus 200% resist chance is a guaranteed resist absent bugs.
