Its just an idea and with the amount of certs needed i dont think it would be too unfair.

Not during the event...after sure...but not now.

Used to be, the only way to get the Kingpin's Rancor and Vectron Magnus was to hit a jackpot on the slots. Now you can buy them with certs. So maybe next year (or whenever they run the event next), when they add some new "jackpot" prize(s), you'll be able to just buy this year's "jackpot" prizes with certs. But probably not before then. Items that were super rare in the last round of this event, are now available on the vendor for certificates.

 

I would expect the same to apply the next time they do the event, but not before. And of course... when/if they do run the event again... there will be a few brand new super rare drops that are only available by hitting a jackpot as well.

 

And I'm sorry, but the Vectron Wraith is not that rare, so 50 certificates is way over priced. Even the Gammoreon, if they follow precedent with the Rancor from the first event run.... would warrant only 30 certificates.

Possibly next casino event, probably the one after that.

The last 2 versions before the current one had identical rewards so don't expect new stuff every time.

Wraith will most likely go for 15 golden and the piggy for 30 when it happens.

I expect no new rewards until next year at least.

They will likely add some new jackpot(s), and when they do the older jackpots will become available for certificates.

History shows us that there will be something that is hard to get.

 

History also shows us that they will want to change what these hard-to-get items are, because they want the event to have appeal to all players.

 

I won one of the new speeders and the companion on my first day trying on a budget of just over a million. What is to keep me coming back? Why should I keep on trying?

 

The answer is "Because they added new items to the machines".

 

They also added new items to the vendors beyond merely the old grand prizes.

And this is the best approach.

 

The lucky winners will have a new speeder and companion to show off for a year, maybe two, and then those things will become more generally available but there will be other things in the machines for people to try and win and other things at the vendors for people to spend their tickets on.

Not everything is available on the vendor go back to the previous events you couldn't buy the rancor and that's how it needs to stay while the current event is active even after it ends but once a new event starts with a new jackpot then maybe but that's a big maybe for the companion. Events are events for reasons and if they put the companion on the vendor while it's still running what is the point for people to do it now 100 certs is way to low maybe 2500 or even 5000.

That would be unfair to the players who already won either of those items after investing a lot of credits on dice rolls. The jackpot rewards should remain jackpot rewards, at least for the event's duration. It would also defeat the purpose of the event, which is designed to be somewhat of a credit sink. There would be much less incentive to spend a lot on the slot machines if all rewards were purchasable with GCs, which are fairly easy to get.

 

I think those items should eventually be made available on the Golden Certificate vendor, just like the Rancor which was a previous jackpot, but not until the next time the event comes around. That would give all players a chance to get the items eventually while not shafting those who won them in a jackpot this season. They get a full year (probably) of exclusive access.
